The Ultimate Vanity: November 2010
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 20, 2010. One of my cute little nieces who is not quite two says, "So much! Meaning, "I love you so. But she can't quite say the entire sentence. Isn't that adorable? Not my garage- not lucid enough to grab the camera. Mine wasn't quite this bad. Today I had garage door issues. Running late as I always do and backing out of the driveway at 30mph, I slammed on the brakes when I noticed the garage door had failed to close and was hanging askew. Good grief! Now 30 minutes late I rushed of...

KeishoZil: Stuff
http://keishozil.blogspot.com/2011/01/stuff.html
171; Older Entries. Posted by Liz O. on Friday, January 28, 2011. This post doesn't have any real theme. Mainly just some pictures I wanted to share. First, a cute picture of the little kids at Christmas. Grandma gave Nadia and Avy the same dress and they had fun being twins! We had a nice time with Dave and Sandy and their kids. Also, Nadia lost her first tooth! It was hanging there for several days until finally it just fell out on its own. You can see the other tooth underneath if you look closely.

The Ultimate Vanity: Sending Back Food
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2012/02/sending-back-food.html
Sunday, February 12, 2012. So I went out to dinner with some friends last night and asked for my steak medium-rare, I want red stuff to run out when I cut into it. Well, it arrived not even remotely pink, blech. Was the consensus. "And ask for a bowl of soup! I always thought sending food back was an invitation for the cook to spit in my food. The second steak arrived, slightly pink. I did not send it back. Surely sending it back a second time invites who knows what other desecration of my food?

The Ultimate Vanity: Asian Food store
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2012/02/asian-food-store.html
Friday, February 24, 2012. I bought some potato starch to "dust" o-mochi with, and check out its many uses. Another interesting food item I saw in the Asian store, Gypsum Powder! Isn't that the stuff used in dry wall? Who knew it was edible? I was thinking of Melamine in baby formula, but I looked it up and apparently it's a legitimate food additive. Specifically, it's used to coagulate tofu and is a great source of calcium. February 25, 2012 at 12:53 PM. February 25, 2012 at 9:03 PM.

The Ultimate Vanity: February 2011
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 24, 2011. Why do we use a soft g when saying margarine? I cannot think of another instance in English- or any other language, multi-lingual as I am (that's a joke)- where the letter g followed by an a is pronounced as a j. Gadfly, Maragaret, gardern, gas, gatto, gallon, garbage.you get the idea. Shouldn't it be spelled marg e. Have you encountered anyone whose pronunciation of warm rhymes with farm? Saturday, February 19, 2011. It has a "robust.flavor" and "thin skin".

KeishoZil: Awkward situation
http://keishozil.blogspot.com/2010/12/awkward-situation.html
171; Older Entries. Posted by Liz O. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. So I've been volunteering as a parent helper in Nadia's class. I don't want to post all of my reasons for doing that on a public blog, but if you're curious and want to have a long conversation ask me sometime. :). But today, while I was there, the kids went to the "Holiday Shop". Now, I'm not a fan of holiday shops. Why in the heck are we having the kids spend money during school hours? Was I wrong to give the kid a dollar? Or what if ...

The Ultimate Vanity: Crazy Dog
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2012/05/crazy-dog.html
Wednesday, May 16, 2012. I was tooling about the neighborhood and saw a dog running around inside a tiny fenced enclosure. Just as I was thinking,"Oh poor thing" I realized it was actually the garden. The dog was running around in! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Ah, life on Bouvet Island. View my complete profile. The Ultimate Vanity: Shoe Leather
http://theultimatevanity.blogspot.com/2012/02/shoe-leather.html
Monday, February 20, 2012. Happy President's Day. Having the holiday off, I volunteered to make dinner for a nice lady who just had her knee replaced. I always make chicken pot-pie, it's easy, and I can't really make anything else. This time, I decided to mix it up, try something new. Pot Roast. I called my mom, looked in a cook-book, and checked on-line. Might be prudent. Olive Garden, anyone? February 21, 2012 at 9:55 AM. Was it covered in the oven? Was the oven hot?
