Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Liking everything to be pretty, I really didn't like the car seat cover that came with the pram we got . it was a stiff waterproof material . which I know a lot would say is very practical, but sometimes prettyness has to come before practicality! Trust me it does! So I figured I would have a go at making a new cover . I took the old cover off and made a pattern from it (a little fiddly as I decided not to take it apart to do it). Le Tour de France. Lord of the Rings. Friday, 29 May 2015. 4 cherry tomatoes, halved. 1 tsp basil (fresh is best but dried is ok too). 1 tin of tomatoes. 1 vegetable stock cube. 1 tbsp tomato purée. For the cheese sauce:. 1 heaped tbsp flour. Handful of grated cheese. Preheat oven to 180C/Gas Mark 6. Top and tail the aubergine and slice into 0.5cm slices. Coat in olive oil and lie them on a baking tray. Bake for 25 mins turning in the middle. In another saucepan on a low heat melt the butter. Top with gr...

Le Tour de France. Lord of the Rings. Sunday, 4 October 2015. Poppies at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Last year there was a magnificent display of ceramic poppies in the moat of the Tower of London. Each poppy represented a man from the Commonwealth who had fallen during World War 1. It was an amazing display and proved very popular. Sadly, I was unable to make the trip to London to see the piece of artwork, but saw many photos of it. Here are some of my photos from the exhibition. Leek and Squash Risotto.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Feast of St. Lucia, the MOSE, the Port, and Paolo. Oh, I almost forgot to add that there was actually snow in the air yesterday! Yesterday morning, as we were waiting for our boat for the tour to pick us up, it was flurrying just a little bit. Apparently snow in Venice is a really rare thing, so I was excited that we got to see it. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. First of all, thank you everyone for my card!
