Saturday, July 24, 2010. For whatever reason, life-updates are one of my least favorite uses for a blog, however I will mention that things lately have felt blooming, like summer or my newly transplanted little garden. Like it I have swiftly taken down roots and wait to see what fruit will bear in the growing with friends old and new. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Saturday, March 20, 2010. Kahlil Gibran - On Love. Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself. He threshes you to make you naked. He sifts you to free you from your husks. He grinds you to whiteness. He kneads you until you are pliant;. And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast. When love beckons to you, follow him,. Though his ways are hard and steep. And when his wings enfold you yield to him,. And when he speaks to you believe in him,.

Monday, February 1, 2010. Tread lightly for you tread on my dreams". The other evening someone read some outlandishly good poetry aloud. And a part of me was healed, literally. My headache immediately dissolved. It was as if I had been living in a country whose. Primary language was not my own, and out of the blue. I finally heard words in my mother tongue. How much more would we be able to effectively convey if we weighed our words like the lines of a poem? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. This year, two things:. 1 I don't know (i.e. expect the unexpected). 2 See people- really. see. them. (as opposed to just seeing the outwardly observable, what I want to see, or simply that which pertains to me). I've nothing else really to say. Much to live. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Friday, April 16, 2010. A few lines I've been reminded of lately:. There is a time to speak and a time to refrain from speaking". Faithful are the wounds of a friend; deceitful the kisses of an enemy". Life is still a bit of an excited whirlwind. Every now and then I get hit in the face with something, but I gather my bearings and press on- to lay hold of that for which He laid hold of me. Reminded of that one too lately. I've been laid hold of- laid claim to. It's good. Saturday, April 3, 2010.

Monday, August 30, 2010. Much of the time. Much of the time I feel a little out of place in this world, and most of the time I don't mind, except for that bit of the time that I do. Thursday, August 26, 2010. Upon a day Beauty and Ugliness met on the shore of a sea, And they said to one another, 'Let us bathe in the sea.'. Then they disrobed and swam in the waters. And after a while Ugliness came back to the shore and garmented himself with the garments of Beauty and walked his way. Much of the time.

roots and branches: fear and faith and fumbling the food
http://growingmccrorys.blogspot.com/2014/01/fear-and-faith-and-fumbling-food.html
If you're looking to find out how the McCrorys are growing - taller, deeper, or otherwise - this is the place to start. Of course, the best place is over a meal at our home, but when miles and time are between us, we hope this will still help our relationship to grow. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Fear and faith and fumbling the food. Why is it I believe what I believe about God, again? Are my reasons any better or do we all just pick what someone else said that we like and believe it? Help me in my unbelief!
