Stimulus overselectivity is a term used to describe tunnel vision. Tunnel vision is when someone gets super focused on one aspect of an object or environment and ignores the rest. This is very common with people on the autistic spectrum and it happens to me. I am focused and pay attention to detail. Fl. Ies are not my special interest. I chose these three photos of a fly I photographed to demonstrate how I can be overselective and can get stuck and overfocused on detail. A FULL LIFE WITH ASD.

A FULL LIFE WITH ASD. Mark was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome at the age of 31 when his son Ben was diagnosed with autism. Ark is a consultant and a key note speaker who not only has ASD but also has a special interest in ASD and helping children, teenagers and adults diagnosed with autism and asperger's syndrome. He has embraced his diagnosis and uses his extensive knowledge and insight into ASD to helping others. He has been described by people as the 'ASD child whisperer.'.
