Were for an experience that would provide lots of practical ideas about how to teach in an urban school … which implies that we would also develop a good understanding of what makes urban schools different from suburban/rural schools. My expectations were exceeded. In particular, the seven-schools-in-three-days experience was an amazing opportunity to address both of my expectations above. I liked the follow-up panel discussion when we returned to MSU.
