It's a low-key, free event which gave people a chance to try snow shoes or cross-country skis, to ride in a horse-drawn sleigh, or to learn about dogsledding or winter camping. In the 1980's, Hoffmaster was known for its annual Trillium Festival but an overabundance of deer ate many of the park's wildflowers, forcing organizers to rename the event.
