http://lisasawatzky.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Lisa, Jersey and Snickers Adventure. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Studious as an Owl. On my way to Briercrest for my latest class (I know, I still haven't posted about school and why I'm here, but that's beside the point), I was driving down the highway and scanning the road, noticing nothing unusual up ahead. However, in the sky were the Snowbirds jets flying in formation so I looked up and was amazed at how cool they were. I hit a bird! Posted by Lisa Sawatzky. Tuesday, April 9, 2013. So sad I'm in a self-...

http://thoughtsofatheophile.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 26, 2010. Good News for the Gospel. Our word "Gospel" comes from the. Which means "good tidings." This was a direct translation (in it's day) for the Gree. The reason why I bring this up is because recent scholarship (the last few decades) has been revealing that there is a depth of meaning behind euangelion.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. A look behind as well as ahead. For those of us still enclosed in the icy clutches of winter it's nice every now and then to look back the previous summer's activities in order to anticipate next summer's. Thoughts of a Theophile: January 2011
http://thoughtsofatheophile.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. I think we all have times in our lives when we seriously just need to relax. Just let things rest in the hands of God and relax. I was reminded of this a few weeks ago as I have continued to read through the Psalms. In the LXX. I was reading through Psalm 46. The LXX uses the word, " sxolasate. So, for the ...

Thoughts of a Theophile: To Fast or Not to Fast
http://thoughtsofatheophile.blogspot.com/2011/03/to-fast-or-not-to-fast.html
Thursday, March 3, 2011. To Fast or Not to Fast. This next Wednesday (March 9th) is "Ash Wednesday." This day marks the beginning of Lent. The practice of Lent (fasting for 40 days leading up to Resurrection Sunday) has its origins in the Early Church era (approx 100-300 AD). Resurrection Sunday (i.e. "Easter" Sunday). Of course, if you actually start counting from Ash Wednesday to Resurrection Sunday you'll realize that there are 46 days. This is because during Lent we don't fast on Sundays! A lot of ot...
