The Sheltraw Family: December 2013
http://sheltraw.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. We had a very busy month of December. That's part of why I've been so neglectful of the blog, but I'm trying to catch up! Here's what we've been up to this month:. Santa came to Texas, cowboy hat and all! This was also the first time Brody sat with him without crying! This was another one of my attempts at trying to keep them from fighting all day so I could get some stuff done. :) We made felt Christmas trees so they could decorate with pompoms and ribbons. Ammy and Papa drov...

Another fun idea.we used Disney paint swatches to make a countdown to our Disneyland trip! I made homemade fingerpaints from a recipe on Pinterest. It just had cornstarch, sugar, salt, and water. Then I added some crayola washable paints for color. Obviously the "finger"painting turned into footpainting. Here's one that I don't think is worth it, but apparently everyone else who tried thinks it's amazing! I posted this birthday wreath on the home page, but I had to share it here since I found it on pinte...

The Sheltraw Family: April 2014
http://sheltraw.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 27, 2014. Before our yearly membership ran out, we took one more trip to the zoo and this time we met up with Ava and Ellie. Ava brought some binoculars and Dylan liked using them! Fun on the drums! Checking out the orangutan. Look at those giraffes. Brody was more interested in climbing than the giraffes. The petting zoo had a baby goat that was so cute! We had to take a turn on the Merry Go Round too! And, yes, this is brotherly "love" happening right here! What a fun day! We didn't wait ...

The Sheltraw Family: June 2014
http://sheltraw.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Swim Season IOST (part 1). In April, Dylan joined the Imperial Oaks Swim Team. It's been an amazing season and he's come such a long way. Here's a re-cap of the season.yes, the whole thing! We started with a team crawfish boil! It's a good thing they also had hot dogs. These Californians (and our Texan kids) don't do crawfish! The first swim meet was just with our team. I'm so glad we went and learned how the meets are run and experienced the overwhelming chaos of swim meets!
