Friday, July 30, 2010. My first response was to just stand there, weeping and sobbing. The scene was so horrifying, so disgusting, so depraved. I could not emotionally bear it. I felt completely helpless. I continued to feel helpless, but I also felt I had to do something. I started carrying boxes of produce out of the way of the bulldozers. Friday, December 1, 2017. Paul is about to retire after almost 40 years in public service, 20 of those on the federal bench. He has served with intelligence, decency and fairness.
