Mary's Tales: Exploding card
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015/07/exploding-card.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. I got this WOW card from my sister for my birthday. But then you open it and. So I was determined to figure it out and it's really pretty easy. Just cutting and scoring. Here is mine. I made mine square rather than the rectangle like my sister's. I cut a couple leaves from some coordinating pieces of DSP and put them on the front. Then had to adjust them since one kept the card from opening. I use the rest of that package of DSP to make a couple more exploding cards and.

Mary's Tales: June 2015
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Last week I took a couple days off just for me as I had my 60th birthday on June 3. I spent a lot of time working on this sweatshirt for a baby shower gift. The little boy is due 2 days before his cousin who is a little girl. I'll be making her a pink sweatshirt to match. And one day I volunteered to help set up for VBS at church. Lots of fun things to do but this was my favorite one. A hula hoop with a ring got each book of the Bible. Mexican Beef Salad - not! When doing the to...

Mary's Tales: April 2015
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 5, 2015. Several months ago I posted some new baby stamps designs I was playing with. Aren't they cute - wait until you see some of the cards I made. I really got carried away with this cuties so I am stocked for quite a while. I think this one is my favorite. It uses 2 retired colors - Pretty in Pink and Not Quite Navy. The DSP is Old Olive. And I love the paper doilies on these cards. Colors are Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. This was a design that was only available in t...

Mary's Tales: August 2015
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 3, 2015. I went to a baby shower over the weekend for a sweet little girl due to arrive in September. Her mama is using the theme "Daughter of the King" for the nursery so I got inspired to use the retired Princess stamp set. I went all out for this one. It was fun playing with the Encore Gold ink and the crown stamp. And the extra effort makes a plain gift bag and white tissue much more festive and fun. Wouldn't it be fun to do a gift for a little birthday girl with the same bag and tissue.

Mary's Tales: A few cards
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-few-cards.html
Friday, July 3, 2015. Yes Took a little time to make a few cards. Haven't made any for a while. These are made with the new In Colors, Tip Top Taupe and Watetmelon Wonder. I got the idea for the card on the left from Pinterest and intended to make 2 like that but wasn't completely pleased with the heart over the bow - might try that again with a larger heart punch. Anyway - I had everything punched and cut so put together the alternate on the left. Looks like it's dancing. View my complete profile.

Mary's Tales: July 2015
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. New tutorial and an awesome dinner. I have added a new tutorial - Exploding Card. This is the exploding card I made - closed. And here it is opened. This is a card I made yesterday using the Mojo Monday sketch from a couple days ago. Of course, mine is not exactly like the sketch :-). The colors are Cajun Craze, Perfect Plum and Always Artichoke. I would have never used those colors together but the Color Coach came in handy. I do like them. But then you open it and. Here is min...

Mary's Tales: July 2014
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 23, 2014. My mom always considered this tier wedding picture. They did not have pictures of their wedding but this was taken a couple months later. Here they are many years later. This was probably 1990. I see more and more of my mom in the mirror every year. Others often tell me I look like her and those who knew her sometimes tell me I remind them of her. What a great compliment! She was a wonderful woman - loving and giving. Often sacrificing for her family and not minding at all.

Mary's Tales: March 2015
http://talesfrommary.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 12, 2015. Can't believe it has been so long since I have written anything. I've been busy that's for sure. My new 'hobby' is Jamberry nail wraps. I love them and never have been without them on my nails since last November. This is my latest 'jamicure'. It is actually two wraps - the rose gold solid with the touch of lace layered on top. My nails never break or chip any more - the wraps are like a protective shield. I have some special ones for St Pat's Day - shamrocks :-). Here is one of...
