A Grotto is a niche that holds a holy object, often a statue, creating a shrine. We call it Sacred Space Furniture. These grottos were inspired by a picture our beloved Aunt Helen painted many years ago. The picture was of a fawn stopping in to look up at a statue of Our Lady in a grotto tucked among the trees.
