Wednesday, 15 October 2008. Creating own Map material. In order to make your own materials to import into 3 DS. Max, I used Photoshop. Here, I made a new file, 3x3cm. I created a small image using the paint brush. I saved it as a bitmap. Back in 3 DS. After this you can drag the material onto the teapot. You can also do this using 'Multi Sub Object' Using different Maps that I have created to cover different parts of the teapot. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, 3 April 2009. Sky One Ident 1. The first Sky One Ident I Have created is going to have a nightime effect in the jungle. I started off with the idea that I would have some sky one text on the scene from the start and have a camera panning around it with the black smoke from Lost travelling at some speed around the SKY ONE logo. The first job was to create the text, but as I hadn't got the Sky one font at this point, I just used some generic text to see what it would look like:. The mouse cursor sh...

However you can add as many lights as you want for different affects. To access the lighting panel go to the Create. Panel, and click on the small lighting symbol. I created a small scene, and clicked and dragged a few different objects on to it. I differed the objects so that you can see the different affects when using lighting. I decided to create an...

To create materials, you select 'rendering' from the top menu and 'material editor'. By clicking on the first button below the panel of 6 you can choose pre. Now it was time to change the material,. Instead of the basic shaders. A Bit...

Thursday, 12 February 2009. What channel will I be advertising? I decided after looking at my channels, and thinking of what I could do for them, that I wanted to choose a comedy channel. I decided to make one for an imaginary channel called “COM” comedy channel for older viewers. Content' such as bad language, nudity etc. I wanted this to be, so that my ident has less restrictions and can not easily offend younger people. I found an image of the new red nose and thought i would try and reproduce it.

Monday, 4 May 2009. Sky One Ident 3. To start with, the idea I came up with for the third Ident was to have the SKY one logo falling from the sky with a camera panning around it. So the first task for me was to animate the text/Logo falling down, again I imported the SKY one text from my first scene and made a chrome material to add to it this time. After I had inserted 'Raytrace' in the reflection map, I saw that the material editor was showing new settings. Now the material was out of the way, I could ...
