Random thoughts, interesting tidbits, and a place for me to develop my writing abilities. Monday, October 15, 2007. Drove the 1985 Mustang GT to Lamotta Performance. Today for its first 500 mile oil change, and they dyno'd the car for me! Thought I'd share the results. Jake Lamotta, the owner, did the test, and he was surprised how well the engine turned out. It absolutely roars through the off-road exhaust. Peak horsepower was 237.32 at about 5200 rpm. Peak torque was 278.78 at about 3800 rpm.

To cut costs, airlines are eliminating free food and snacks. For fliers. Until about three years ago I made 3-5 cross-country flights per year, and always brought my own sack lunch and water bottle in my carryon. Often I'd fly Southwest, cheerfully trading dinner at 35,000 feet for a cheaper ticket. What's so hard about that? Posted by Chris Carey.
