Meghan in Ghana: March 2010
http://meghaninghana.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Following a year of research/adventures in west Africa*. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Taking a Walk Downtown. So despite the fact that I've been updating this blog so regularly throughout March (*pats self on back), the fact remains that most of Accra still has little to no internet access- including the entire compound and surrounding areas where I live/work. Instead, I've been demonstrating my utter devotion. Calls as I went. Soon, I had a literal parade of children following me. All I needed was...Yes L...
Meghan in Ghana: December 2009
http://meghaninghana.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Following a year of research/adventures in west Africa*. Friday, December 11, 2009. Keynote Challenge for 2010. The SAHARA conference 2009 focused on sociocultural issues surrounding HIV, and in an attempt to kickstart the conference in a diverse manner, they hosted 3 keynote speakers:. And an openly HIV activist. I was most impressed by this final speaker. Why? Because he made me uncomfortable. As opposed to guilt. Let 2010 be the year in which we all come out. I hope that we can do this. And I ...This ...
Meghan in Ghana: April 2010
http://meghaninghana.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Following a year of research/adventures in west Africa*. Monday, April 19, 2010. I was quite surprised at the dominance of these languages. On the wards of Korle-Bu, I actually need a translator to provide my study patients with informed consent, and Ward Rounds can be a complete mystery. However, I love languages and was optimistic about picking up some Twi. Two things have made this task especially difficult:. I haven't been able to track down any Twi books all year. What is your name? Addendum: The sm...
Meghan in Ghana: November 2009
http://meghaninghana.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Following a year of research/adventures in west Africa*. Wednesday, November 25, 2009. Things I am thankful for this year:. 1 My work keeps me busy, yet allows me to be independent. Always challenging me with new questions and obstacles, yet no retracting, no rounding, and no note-writing! The services of a taxi driver who has christened himself "Junior Obama". 6 I was accepted to present my work at a conference for the first time. *crossing fingers for the presentation next week! 9 I have wonderful frie...

Sitting Side saddle and Bitching at my Betters
And bitching at my betters. Meghan, 24, Australian. She/Her pronouns. INFJ. Reblogged 1 day ago. OOOh Stucky pornstar au? Both are pornstars/Bucky's the cameraman/director, idc, you pick) :3. I’ll have you know that I saw this message right before I had to make an hour drive back home and I thought about it the whole time. So thank you for THOSE things. :P. Her strap-on and it is not uncommon for him to beg her to fuck him even off-camera. He doesn’t have anyone else to fulfill his needs. Those four inch...
Meghan in Botswana
Friday, December 24, 2010. You Know You've Lived in Botswana 4 Months when. 1 It makes your day when you get the front seat on the combi. 2 Ants consistently climb out of your bathtub. 3 You've eaten more pap than your body weight. 4 You've been asked to be married by random Batswana men on the street, sometimes more than once a day. 5 You've had your phone and your wallet stolen on separate occasions at the Bus Rank without knowing it. 6 You've gotten used to waiting 30-45 minutes for a cab. 21 You've p...
Meghan in Cambodia
This blog reflects my personal opinions and not those of the Peace Corps or the US government. Monday, June 6, 2011. Wow I have been really bad about this lately! I suppose I will just do quick highlights from the last month and a half or so. 3) A bunch of us were able to join in the engagement party for one of our fellow PCVs in her fiance's home village. 4) I celebrated my 24th birthday with a few friends in Siem Reap which will probably end up being my last visit there. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Saturd...

Adventures in Spain
Sunday, August 3, 2014. Third Week of Class with My FINAL Schedule. Third week of class with final schedule. My third week of class I finally had a concrete full schedule with five classes, which meant lots of homework and catchup work from the anthropology class I joined. Four classes late. I had never missed a class before, so missing four made life very difficult with a lot of extra work. Don't be scared to go abroad if you're in a relationship! It's such a worthwhile and once in a lifetime experience!
to Kenya I will go...
To Kenya I will go. Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. - Mother Teresa. Saturday, August 04, 2007. Sometimes you just need to laugh. Friday, July 27, 2007. My Kenya theme song. We love until we die. When you run into my arms,. We steal a perfect moment. Let the monsters see you smile,. Let them see you smiling. Do I hold you too tightly? When will the hurt kick in? Life is beautiful, but it's complicated. We made it back...
