We drove from New York and arrived late thinking we could camp at the base of the mountain, but the gate was closed by the time we got there. Thursday, June 02, 2005. Humphreys Peak (May 23, 2005). We got up before the sun and watched the sunrise on the to drive to Flagstaff from Phoenix. Our mission: to climb the highest point in Arizona This was highpiont number 32. And a few times on the way up too ;) Next trip - more weddings and mountain climbing when we head to Colorado for Matt's best friend's wedding, two more high points (Okalahoma and New Mexico), and a Colorado 14er if we're lucky! Sunday, January 29, 2012. Sunday River Ski Mountain. The Sunday River Ski Resort. Offers some of the best skiing in New England. The rest of the story is a tad disappointing for those longing for luxe skiing even remotely resembling Vail or Aspen. Being the ski addict that I am, I do grieve this sad state of affairs.
