We drove from New York and arrived late thinking we could camp at the base of the mountain, but the gate was closed by the time we got there. Thursday, June 02, 2005. Humphreys Peak (May 23, 2005). We got up before the sun and watched the sunrise on the to drive to Flagstaff from Phoenix. Our mission: to climb the highest point in Arizona This was highpiont number 32. And a few times on the way up too ;) Next trip - more weddings and mountain climbing when we head to Colorado for Matt's best friend's wedding, two more high points (Okalahoma and New Mexico), and a Colorado 14er if we're lucky!
