One DBA students journey. October 20, 2013. Tied to the old Ball and Chain. My husband and I bank with, let’s call them XYZ Bank for the sake of this exercise. One day my husband received his new debit card in the mail and it had a shiny new Visa logo on it. Oh how exciting! The following day mine appears with no shiny new logo. I figured it was an oversight and head into my local branch for a chat with one of the lovely young customer service agents. Her time “Why do you want that? 8220;What do you mean?

The Big Apple bites back! | Personal Research Blog

One DBA students journey. November 3, 2013. The Big Apple bites back! Yesterday I watched my fellow classmates present great and interesting stories which led them to their research (some true, some not so true, some sad and some even heartbreaking) and as I rode on my 2 hour train trip back I reminisced of what got me into banking in the first place…. A few years back (will not tell you how many! I booked the trip using Expedia. A few days before we left and headed to the big apple on a Friday morning!

One DBA students journey. Daily Archives: October 14, 2013. October 14, 2013. Ba(n)king – what’s more important? When I run a Google search on customer loyalty there are hundreds, if not thousands of articles returned. In my particular area of research I’m interested in the antecedents to customer loyalty. 8211; or what comes first. To understand what antecedents are, I like to compare them to a cake. Just like the cake….could we do without the flour? Or maybe the sugar? And the stories keep coming.

Re-defining success | Work-life balance
https://zhilingsun.wordpress.com/2013/11/02/re-defining-success
A perspective of work values. An attribute to my father. Posted by Angelina Sun. My DBA classmate, Donna Dark has kindly passed on an article regarding work-life balance, thinking it might be useful for my research. I should say, that’s one of the benefits of having face time with peers for the DBA program of University of Wollongong, which provides valuable support, feedback and sometimes, sympathy that are much needed to finish a DBA…. Reflecting on Arianna’s life story and her ideas, I believe t...

A perspective of work values. Two weeks into my new job. Posted by Angelina Sun. Hmm, time flies. Already two weeks into my new job, still feel unreal. I hope everybody else in the class has made good, steady progress in their study. All the best to all of us! Getting back to work…. Posted by Angelina Sun. What I found is that ...

One DBA students journey. November 4, 2013. For sh*ts and giggles…literally. Today is my work day. Feed trying to give my brain a few moments “off” when I stumbled across this post by Brian Warner. Considering this has a bit to do with Banking AND Customer Service why not share? 8230;………. I turn to look where she i...
