Some material I've written is going to be in a comedy sketch/variety show at the Strawdog Theatre in Chicago. The show is called Democracy Burlesque. And the title of the upcoming production is called "Labor Pains," a social/political satire of the working world, the rough economy, organized labor, and being the little guy. . Lavademon: March 2009

A VOLCANIC FLOW OF READING, WRITING, AND WRIGHTING THAT WILL FREEZE YOU IN YOUR TRACKS . Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Yes, my glibness is intentional. I had a really hard time getting through this one. Everything was perfectly clear, and I never got confused, but I found the writing style really grating, even for a novel that (I think) could be classified as a young adult novel, though I realize it is not marketed as one. . Knitten' The Mitten: Summer
http://knittenthemitten.blogspot.com/2009/07/summer.html
Stories and pictures from random adventures in and around Canada and the great state of Michigan. Thursday, July 30, 2009. How could I possibly pass that up? Yum Here's some photographic evidence:. Here's a partial shot of the skyline that I took while crossing the river. I like the bridge in the corner, I think it's an interesting contrast (then again, what the hell do I know, haha):. And here's the obligatory photo of us in 'The Bean':. Of course there's been lots of good times in Michigan too!

Knitten' The Mitten: First post!
http://knittenthemitten.blogspot.com/2009/01/first-post.html
Stories and pictures from random adventures in and around Canada and the great state of Michigan. Sunday, January 18, 2009. I signed up for this blog forever and a day ago, I think, but this is the first I've gotten around to posting. Not that I have anything particularly thrilling to share with the world, but maybe someone will find my ramblings interesting! The name of this blog (and yes I realize that knitten. Should be spelled with an 'i' in place of the 'e', but I thought it looked more symmetrical.

Stories and pictures from random adventures in and around Canada and the great state of Michigan. Friday, February 27, 2009. Stars in the Windy City. I don't think I liked the group numbers this year as much as I did last year, but going up against "Hard Steele" and the Robert Palmer opening is a pretty tall order. I liked the guys number (a lot), and I really liked the transitions between the programs more this year as well. The "Don't Skate" PSA's are hilarious! A great tour guide. I know I am. So that...

A VOLCANIC FLOW OF READING, WRITING, AND WRIGHTING THAT WILL FREEZE YOU IN YOUR TRACKS . Wednesday, February 25, 2009. For those of you not familiar with Catholic hijinks, Lent. Is a season stretching from Ash Wednesday (tomorrow) to Easter (roughly forty days). Usually we give something up or do something above and beyond what we would do in our normal daily life. As I kid, I didn't really like Lent. My parents would usually MAKE me do something like giving up Nintendo (harsh! I have to adhere to them&#...
