Our Referral Day | Move Beyond Me
http://movebeyond.me/our-referral-day
Aug 8, 2012. We were matched with our children! 8230; and it was completely surreal. We had become so familiar with waiting that the moment we thought the wait might be over, well- we didn’t really know what to do with ourselves. Here’s the details behind the days leading up to hearing those jaw dropping words! I saw the photo and gasped- “. But we backed up- spent some time in prayer together and felt the Lord’s peace to in fact fervently pursue them. Was our gut wrong- are we not their forever family?

One week and counting. Oct 23, 2012. One week and counting. We’ve been home for just over a week and are starting to settle into a routine. Over all the kids are doing really pretty well. Praise the Lord they are eating and sleeping! 8230; They have taught us their words for bathroom, more, done, dog, light and water to name a few. The first words they learned in english were elephant and monkey… Oh so helpful when trying to communicate with one another on a daily basis! October 24, 2012 at 3:08 pm.

The Fain Family Update: February 2014
http://fainfamilyupdates.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
The Fain Family Update. Friday, February 28, 2014. Update/ we've had a calm weekend. so thankful. also thinking it might be anxiety from school. might ask teachers to add in more sensory breaks. and once its warm enough to go outside in the snow, that will help too. thank you for praying! This month has been hard. Multiple meltdowns a day. And with an older child this proves more difficult and exhausting to navigate. What are the triggers? Did he get enough sleep? I came across this video. All of the sud...

The Fain Family Update: May 2013
http://fainfamilyupdates.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
The Fain Family Update. Monday, May 6, 2013. The kids and I flew down for ten days in April and Lee was able to join us for part of the trip. We enjoyed visiting family in Georgia and South Carolina and the kids especially enjoyed playing with their cousins who were visiting from Kenya. While we were enjoying sunshine and shorts (there were a few "cold" fronts but very mild) Minnesota was hit with several snow storms. I felt for my friends in Minnesota but was so thankful to escape the cold. I know this ...

The Fain Family Update: happy (almost) wednesday!
http://fainfamilyupdates.blogspot.com/2014/02/happy-almost-wednesday.html
The Fain Family Update. Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Today after kindergarten I asked Bryce if we should go to McDonalds after picking up Kinsey at preschool. McDonalds is not my favorite by the way, it always feels germy and loud. And usually there is at least 1 incident of my kids hurting someone else's feelings on the playground.but it is also winter and going somewhere after school helps break up the day. I could tell it really meant a lot to the lady working. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

She was definitely nervous and ran back to me several times. But this week she really enjoyed it!

The Fain Family Update. Monday, January 21, 2013. A slightly random Christmas recap! Time for a collection of photos from Christmas! We had such a good time visiting family this year. We spent several days at Grammy and Papa Fain's house in Chapin, SC (horray for no jackets! Grammy, Uncle Muck and I went to Grammy's thrift store and found a lot of great things including a "new" 1970s radio. Its been a life saver this winter! The kids dance to it a lot. Bryce and Kinsey also really enjoyed playing with th...
