One challenging aspect of writing, especially for students making the transition between high school and college is coming to understand revision as an important part of the writing process. This project combines short video clips of upper-division students talking about their own experiences with and learning about revision, thematically organized and surrounded by helpful introductions and reflective questions. Students have the ability to respond to what they see via polls and comments.

The Michigan Education through Learning Objects (MELO) project is a cross-disciplinary project that worked over the past two years at the University of Michigan to facilitate the integration of curriculum-based sequences of online learning objects (LOs) that complement classroom pedagogy in large enrollment gateway courses to enhance student learning, engagement and persistence in college.
