Thursday, May 7, 2009. How cool is it that Will said "yes" this morning? What's the big deal you ask? If you look a few posts down at the list of his words so far, you will not see the word "no" anywhere on that list. I think that's really cool. I have been working hard on telling him what he can. Do instead of what he can't. And I think this may be why he hasn't said "no" yet. I think that's really cool, too. I've noticed it, too- that he doesn't say no, in contrast to almost all children his age.

This was a really easy and quick read, making for the perfect book to read a sentence or two and then put down to go pluck Will off the kitchen table. I liked how the author, Kate Jacobs, used such details in the characters. By the time I finished reading the book, I felt like I had known each of the characters for as long as they had known each other. Now reading: The Last Lecture. And The Thirteenth Tale.
