Rejoice this Day: Haley's MRI
http://rejoicethisday.blogspot.com/2014/08/haleys-mri.html
Tuesday, August 19, 2014. A couple weeks ago, Haley's eye doctor ordered a brain and orbits MRI. In order to keep Haley calm and still, her MRI was done under general anesthesia. So we went again to Texas Children's Hospital for the MRI. Haley slept almost the whole car ride there. Once admitted, the nurses got her vitals and changed into the hospital gown, but Haley quickly realized she had not eaten all morning and her hungry tummy made her quite grouchy as we waited. http://rejoicethisday.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 28, 2014. Haley's Eye Surgery Journey. We patched Haley's eyes for 90 minutes every day for about four months as we monitored how lazy her eyes were becoming and the need for surgery. We have lots of cute pirate pictures. Here's one. So the day for surgery came. We left our home at 3:45am (! After the admissions questions, we changed Haley into her hospital pajamas. They were a little big! A few minutes later we joined Haley in the recovery room. She did not wake up happy! After some morph...

Friday, January 17, 2014. I cannot believe Haley is 3 months already! We have officially transitioned from the fragile newborn stage to the infant/baby stage as Haley is growing and healthy. Her chubbiness and rolls are just so stinkin' adorable. This month had Mommy's gallbladder surgery. And Haley's first Christmas. Haley chillin' with one of her gifts. Haley was very patient while Calli played with her new "big truck". Haley is developing her personality and definitely has some "looks". She has pl...

Wednesday, May 21, 2014. I Cried Over A Banana. Yep You read that right. I cried over a banana. Yes, a simple banana. Why? Because for the first time ever, feeding my child was simple. My eyes filled with tears. I let her out of the cart, she picked out her own banana, carried it with pride the whole time throughout the store, carefully watched it as we paid for it, and joyfully ate her banana in the car. For once, feeding my child was simple. The Burden of FPIES - I Just Want to Feed My Family! Foods ar...
