Fishing at Cape Coral, Florida. Saturday, May 2, 2009. The end is near. So in a few hours we fly home, me first class , Tim below in the cheap seats. I had a bit of a problem with my leg last week which required a visit to the local hospital. To cut a long story short I was told I needed an upgrade so that my leg could be rested. Fishing at Cape Coral, Florida. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Today was a good day. It wasn't the size so much as the number of different species. We started with a Spanish Mackeral, followed by Ladyfish, Lizard fish, Grouper, Blacktip Shark, Snapper, Gaftail sail Catfish, Common Catfish and an Atlantic Croaker. I caught three tiny Bass, Tim on the other hand not only caught more but some were a lot bigger. I had to be content with some nice photos of a beautiful sunset. Tim with his Bass. We had a change of venue and launched the Kayaks a couple of miles further up the coast at Calshot. There was a fairly strong southerly breeze and it made fishing from Lepe unsafe. Tim on the other hand, and Chris his son, the new kid on block with regards to Kayak fishing, have done rather better. Bass to 3 and a half pounds and some bream. So, I gladly accepted the invite to fish with them and see whether I could learn something from the smug duo. 3 and a half pound Bass. So what about the 3 and half pound Bass?

Mick and Sherrie's world. Saturday, October 6, 2012. Yes, my husband was right; the motorcycle trip really was great fun. I was wishing for just a couple more days. We started in Seattle, then on to Josiah and Jessica's beautiful wedding near Vancouver BC; then over 1200 miles up the Canada Highway. Then nearly 300 more miles on to Skagway on the Alaska Highway. Here are some highlights. Lunch at the top of the Space Needle. With great views of Seattle all around. On my 36th anniversary with my sweetie.

Fishing at Cape Coral, Florida. Monday, May 4, 2009. Spending two weeks with anyone can be a challenge but I enjoyed Tims company enormously. I think there may have been times when I got on his nerves. He being a very accomplished fisherman and me being a bit of an amateur. At one time I remarked that fishing with me was like taking his kid fishing. Tims reply was that his kid was actually quite good. Ouch. All in all a fanastic trip, probably never to be repeated.
