The Nelson Family: Melodramatic
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2014/08/melodramatic.html
Saturday, August 23, 2014. This was the worst week of my life. No, but really. Which I guess when I think of how much worse it could have been, I really don't have it that bad. But this week will be going on our record books. Let's start at the very beginning. I ask "Nothing. It's too late. She won't be able to ride the bus." Kennady, who is standing behind me, is instantly crushed, because her lifelong dream has been to ride the school bus. "She won't be able to ride this year? 10:05 Now that you've pro...

The Nelson Family: Making It
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2014/08/making-it.html
Wednesday, August 6, 2014. We've been here for over a month. That's crazy. I was pretty aware that these days were going to fly by. That's what happens when you have three rambunctious little ones who never stop moving. Honestly this start has been much less intense than expected. Every time Ben would show up at decent hour, or even early, it nearly threw me into a panic "Why are you here? Don't you have studying to do, classes? Are you going to pass your classes? I am not ready for this! Ben is busy stu...

The Nelson Family: June 2013
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 29, 2013. Once upon a time there was this crazy pregnant lady. It was me. Now you know this story should be good. First, let it be known that I am severely sleep deprived right now. Yep, welcome third trimester and all the sleepless nights that come with it. What, you say you slept like a baby your third trimester? Now to the story. She thought one day she would do something to earn a little extra money. "But what? She casually put up a post on Facebook advertising custom throw pillows....

The Nelson Family: 4 Months
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2014/01/4-months.html
Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Yes, we are still alive. Three kids, one of whom only naps while being held, doesn't leave me much time for blogging, or anything else. But that kid had shots today and will most likely sleep for several hours. Is it wrong that I like when my kids get shots? Seriously, teething, at 4 months. But it explains so much. He rolled over once, from his back to his tummy, but prefers to be immobile (yay! I just checked the blog and realized that I haven't written since before Christm...

The Nelson Family: May 2013
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 30, 2013. Yep, it's time for one of those posts again. Good news: I'm no where close to having a baby. I'm only 23 1/2 weeks along, so this is still good news for another 14 weeks or so. Bad news: I'm having regular contractions on somewhat regular basis. They make me tired, sore and grumpy. Good news: I'm not on bedrest and don't have to take any drugs, yet. Bad news: I lost weight, again. Bad news: Korban was way less cooperative, got no xrays, and no teeth cleaned. Good news: He did let ...

The Nelson Family: Preschool Dropouts
http://bennkortney.blogspot.com/2013/12/preschool-dropouts.html
Friday, December 13, 2013. My blog is neglected. Better than neglecting my children though, right? In case you haven't heard, we made a decision! I haven't done that in 10 years, seriously. The other thing that I'm looking forward to is Ben having holidays again! Only in academia do you get 2 weeks off for Christmas. Sure, he will be studying, but I'm still excited. The things I'm not excited about? What am I going to do without my Kennady all day? Sleep when the baby sleeps. ha! Ben and Kortney Nelson.
