http://runningforcassy.blogspot.com/2008/04/glass-city-marathon-race-report.html
This Run's for You, Cassy. Monday, April 14, 2008. Glass City Marathon Race Report. It is customary on RunningAHEAD. That inspired me to set a marathon goal, train for, and complete it. Tammy and my "shoe lady", Liz, from Dave's Running Shop, who has been just wonderful in working with us on getting proper shoes, was also at the expo manning a table for the shop and would be running the second half of the marathon on race day as part of a two-person team. Eric and I planned on meeting in the lobby of the...

This Run's for You, Cassy. Monday, April 6, 2009. Thanks to the prompting of Karen from Mom on the Run. I felt I should do a quick update to the ole blog, which has been neglected of late. I just kinda feel like writing about the running stuff gets boring after a while and who really cares, but I guess there are a few of you out there in cyber space that do so. here goes. One final thing. GO STATE! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The sweetheart my first marathon was in honor of....

That was good, but it hurt | RACING TO REMEMBER
https://racingtoremember.wordpress.com/2009/09/29/that-was-good-but-it-hurt
Just another WordPress.com weblog. In the dark →. That was good, but it hurt. September 29, 2009. We woke up Sunday morning at 5:54 to the sound of pouring rain. This was the dreaded day the 18 mile Marathon tune up in Central Park. As if three laps of the loop wasn’t torture enough, we now had to do it in miserable, freezing rain. We did not take any walk breaks at all for the first 13 miles. I did a whole half marathon without stopping. I’m pretty happy. And then.the Wall! Chuck took me inside and head...

What if? | RACING TO REMEMBER
https://racingtoremember.wordpress.com/2009/10/13/what-if
Just another WordPress.com weblog. October 13, 2009. I decided that I had to do the 20-miler. I felt that I didn’t deserve to taper if I didn’t. But Saturday and Sunday were pretty busy this weekend so I decided to do it Monday morning (since I had Monday off for Columbus Day). When Monday morning finally rolled around, I wasn’t feeling it. But I went anyway, because I had promised myself. The following is a list of reasons why it totally sucked:. 6 I didn’t finish. I HATE NOT FINISHING. So I stopped in ...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. That was good, but it hurt. October 8, 2009. Then I thought I’d run in the morning, which I’ve only done once before. Guess what? It’s dark in the morning too! That was almost creepier than running in the dark at night. (This is actually good news though because it means I don’t have to wake up at 5 am to run.). This entry was posted in Running. This Run's for You, Cassy. Saturday, February 28, 2009. Hey, I just checked out the Toledo Roadrunner's results for the Get Luckey 5K. That Tammy and I ran two weeks ago and I DID get a PR by a second! Yep, that's right, I said one, 1, uno, second! Hey, a PR's a PR. My lungs were on fire and my heart about to burst at the end of that first mile so, I'll take it! Monday, February 23, 2009. Sunday, February 15, 2009. Oops Second mile split was 8:38 or something like that. I picked up in my last mile, c...

Just another WordPress.com weblog. That was good, but it hurt →. September 23, 2009. It’s so true! Plus it’s actually quite hot today for the first time in a while, and I guess I forgot what that was like. Anyway, I turned around after a half a mile (I know! Ick I’m trying not to feel too discouraged. It happens. Tomorrow is another day, and who knows what I’ll feel like then. And maybe I’ll have pictures to share tomorrow. A Run to Remember | RACING TO REMEMBER
https://racingtoremember.wordpress.com/2009/11/05/a-run-to-remember
Just another WordPress.com weblog. Now that’s a fun run. A Run to Remember. November 5, 2009. Friday was like the last day of school before vacation. It was all anxious anticipation. The time ticked by so slowly! When the day finally ended, I headed over to Javits with Chuck to pick up our numbers at the Marathon expo. It was a nutty experience so we just grabbed our stuff and ran home. (Not literally, of course.). And then there was nothing left to do but run the race. We got to Brooklyn, still feeling ...
