A minority of one: Strathpuffer 2014
http://a-minority-of-one.blogspot.com/2014/01/strathpuffer-2014.html
A minority of one. Sunday, 26 January 2014. 7:30pm on Friday evening we finally left the city lights behind, heading north through rural Northumberland and 300 miles beyond. This weekend had been planned for a while, and we had enough outdoor kit in the car to compete with Cotswold! And even, dare I say it, enjoyable? Our team had 2 punctures which set us back a bit. I was suffering with chain-suck and jamming between the chainring and the frame. I had to stop to fix it during my second lap, and ...Great...

A minority of one: LAMM
http://a-minority-of-one.blogspot.com/2012/06/lamm.html
A minority of one. Thursday, 14 June 2012. 630am and in fine LAMM tradition (or so I'm told), we were woken by bag pipes, as the player walked among our tents, ensuring even the heaviest sleeper doesn't miss the start of the race. Why they felt I needed 2.5 hours to get ready, I have no idea. With this small victory in hand, we ended the first day feeling like we had put in a decent show. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A minority of one: November 2011
http://a-minority-of-one.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
A minority of one. Thursday, 17 November 2011. I entered the Copeland Chase last weekend, after refreshing my orienteering skills a few days before in a night time orienteering event by WCOC. Fortunately, he led me up a small path through a wood and to the last checkpoint - a path I surely would not have spotted if he hadn't pointed it out! And I will remember to pack more food next time! I've worked the distance out at about 15miles, and roughly the hight of Ben Nevis in climb ( 1300m). A minority of one.

A minority of one. Sunday, 13 May 2012. A real lakeland classic, I had been told. That is what I was thinking while I was being refused registration because I didn't have a map. They had all been sold out. The car was 10 minute walk away, and the start was in about 15 minutes time. A real lakeland classic, in great weather, which would be a great shame to miss through lack of a map! Tiredness obviously starting to take its toll. The hardest section of all, was the 1km of flat dirt road that leads to t...

A minority of one. Friday, 31 August 2012. Our annual adventure this year was 5 weeks on the road, down to the Pyrenees and then to the Alps with Annie and our bikes. Rather than bore you with pages of dry prose, I've made a video. Hopefully my cinematography will prove to be better than my writing! Col du Soulor and Aubisque. Col du spandelles and Soulor. Grands Goulets and Gorges de la Bourne. Run - Le Grand Veymont. Alpe d'Huez and Col du Sarenne. Col Croix de Fer and col du Glandon - 35mi 2000m.
