The same friend then pushed her to sign up for her first marathon. In a matter of months she went from 20 miles a week to 60!

Welcome to Miles for Martha. I lost my mom, Martha, to colon cancer in 2003. In 2006, colon cancer took my dad, Jim. In 2008, my good friend's four-year old son, Colson was diagnosed with Leukemia. Colson is seven now and after a long and difficult journey has recently been declared Cancer Free! These are the people for whom I ride. This year, I have set a goal to raise $12,000! 100% of the money raised goes to fund cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Martha is my mom! In March of 2002, ...

October 20, 2018. November 5, 2018. All Proceeds Benefit Brain Cancer Research. Please join us for the 6th annual Miles for Mary. In November 2012, the Park family lost Mary, their wife and mother, to brain cancer. For the past five years family and friends have gathered around Miles for Mary as a tribute to her memory and in memory of a growing number of loved ones afflicted by this terrible disease. The 2018 Memorial 5K Run /Walk will be held on Saturday 10:00 AM, October 20 at Devereux Beach.
