Sunday, October 21, 2012. Naming your baby is TOUGH. Getting Richie and I to agree on a name is near impossible. But the names we have finally agreed on with all our kids seem to be perfect once they are here. Mylie was a named we both liked, and Joleen is a mix between my mom, Joni, and Richie's mom, Eileen. So that middle name is very meaningful and special to me, and I love and adore both of our mothers. I asked, "Am I beyond ready? To which she replied I was! I gave one hard push and she was out!

Friday, December 9, 2011. Last night our stake put on a live reenactment of the Nativity. Everything about it was fantastic. A strong spirit, wonderful actors, beautiful music and narration, superb lighting, warming hot cocoa and delicious cookies! The only thing missing was the live animals for petting. The company we hired just didn't show! I hope there wasn't an accident or something. I know it was disappointing to the children, but we hope they show up tonight and tomorrow night. Friday, December 10, 2010. AND she liked him. AND I'm very happy that she liked him because I got this adorable smile out of her. I'm loving that she's excited for Christmas this year and understanding it a little more too. She has been watching Jesus' birth from the Living Scriptures and loves it. Richie has hated those things since we paid so much for them, but he just mentioned that at least this one has "paid off" because Mylie knows the real Christmas story! Links to this post. Meskel is an Orthodox holiday that celebrates the cross (meskel means cross in Amharic) and also serves as a signpost that rainy season is ending and the sun is returning.
