Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 23, 2010. Warm greetings from an increasingly sunny Addis Ababa! Many Ethiopians will celebrate Meskel on Monday. Meskel is an Orthodox holiday that celebrates the cross (meskel means cross in Amharic) and also serves as a signpost that rainy season is ending and the sun is returning.
