Game Portfolio: toukokuuta 2010
http://zendariel.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Tiistai 25. toukokuuta 2010. Nothing much going on. Some trouble with the engine so I changed the game idea into a "everyday shooter" type game, or. A modernised "phobia II" if you don't know the first one. Experiencing a little hurry and took forever to get the mouseposition working so probably coding an modelling rest of the week. Installed 3dsmax 2011 day before yesterday and it loves to do funny stuff i hate, like making parts of a mesh disappear if I apply two or more materials into it.

Mind on games: maaliskuuta 2011
http://mindongames.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Torstai 10. maaliskuuta 2011. Global Game Jam 2011 and Genos Logos. Second project, The Last, can be found on our GGJ site, here. Both projects were created in a team of five, with Joni Paasikivi and Samuli Raninen. Though we had to leave out some features we planned in Genos Logos and The Last ended up as a card game instead of WP7 application, making two games in 48 hours (we even managed to get some sleep) is still quite an achievement. Mind on games: Break the Aliens! Now available in WP7 Marketplace near you
http://mindongames.blogspot.com/2011/03/break-aliens-now-available-in-wp7.html
Keskiviikko 9. maaliskuuta 2011. Now available in WP7 Marketplace near you. Is an action game for Windows Phone 7, with retro graphics and awesome music. It's sort of a combination of two early games, Space Invaders and Breakout. Made with XNA and C#. It's also the first commercial game project that I've produced from start to finish with the rest of the team. The production started early into our practice period at Kajak Games. Is based on a prototype I made for Kajak 3D classes earlier. Kajaani univers...

Mind on games: World of Kajak 3D: Genius Loci
http://mindongames.blogspot.com/2011/03/world-of-kajak-3d-genius-loci.html
Keskiviikko 9. maaliskuuta 2011. World of Kajak 3D: Genius Loci. Genius Loci is a 3D mobile game project for iOS and Maemo, currently on hold. We started working on it during our summer studies in June 2010 under Mika Karkinen. Lead designer and graphic artist of the project. Genius Loci is made with Kajak 3D, which is a multiplatform game engine developed in Kajaani university of Applied Sciences. More info/news to follow! Tilaa: Lähetä kommentteja (Atom). Mind on games: huhtikuuta 2010

Torstai 8. huhtikuuta 2010. XNA experiment: Swarming Plasma. Finally something I can say I made entirely myself, though I'm grateful for the help I received from the rest of the team on the way. This simple project is a result of me wanting to make something that would resemble a living thing, or in this case a bunch of them. The swarming AI is very crude, but it works just fine for something like this. Though I say it myself, the result is quite beautiful. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? Teemu did practic...

Game Portfolio: huhtikuuta 2010
http://zendariel.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Torstai 8. huhtikuuta 2010. Currently I'm working on a small advance wars like strategy game with C and KAJAK3D, which is our schools engine, for two school courses, AI and game programming. I made a four player Pong with it a little while ago for a different course. other than that I have mostly been trying new stuff and studied collisions and game physics. I've also tried to spark a new game project using XNA with my friends and I've thought of building a simple 2D-Engine for XNA to be used in our games.

Torstai 8. huhtikuuta 2010. This is or was our game for the imagine cup, but due circumstances it was quite unfinished when we entered it into the first round. It's more like a tech demo I coded but hopefully we will finish it even if it doesn't make it's way to the second round. The tail is made of individual objects that get the position to follow, which is on the piece that comes before it. Because of that it looks very fluent. Check the "techdemo" on youtube. To see it in action.

Mind on games: More mobile: "Jump Game" (working title)
http://mindongames.blogspot.com/2011/03/more-mobile-jump-game-working-title.html
Torstai 10. maaliskuuta 2011. More mobile: "Jump Game" (working title). With any luck, Jump Game, as we call it at the moment, will become our second commercial title for WP7 in a week or two. The game is about a furry creature that the player bounces around by creating platforms, making the critter collect items and avoid enemies. Sounds very abstract, I know, but the game is very playable and easy to approach. Kajaani university of applied sciences. Tilaa: Lähetä kommentteja (Atom). You wonder who I am?

Mind on games: SDL Artillery - C++ practise
http://mindongames.blogspot.com/2010/04/sdl-artillery-c-practise.html
Torstai 8. huhtikuuta 2010. SDL Artillery - C practise. This is just a simple artillery game made for C and Advanced Networking classes using SDL, but it works quite nicely and is fun to play from what I've heard from our small team of beta testers. I also programmed practically the whole networking part together with Teemu; I can take pretty much all responsibility of designing and building the protocol of data being sent and received. Teemu helped me getting all those great ideas work. :P. This blog is...
