http://wa-katileigh.blogspot.com/2015/06/tis-season-to-be-running.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Tis the season. to be running! We started with Fragrance Lake up in Larrabee State Park. It was chilly, but sunny, so I was able to enjoy some views of the water as I powered up the long hill in mile two. I only ran the 10k, so I was able to wait for Dustin at the finish of the half marathon. A few weeks later, Dustin ran the Lake Sammamish half marathon and got a new PR of 1:24:06! The cookies don't look like much, but they're delicious! I was expecting it to be a lot of hills, b...

Saturday, March 14, 2015. School's out. forever! I thought that after I finished school, I'd be able to catch up on life - on all of the things I was slacking on or putting off. but as it turns out, blogging is still just as challenging for me! http://wa-katileigh.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 19, 2013. May 5th, 2013). We signed up for the Vancouver marathon 1 week after running in Napa. No taking time off, no resting, no eating crap. the marathon was just 2 months away. Even though it was more challenging than I had expected, I was happy with the results from my first marathon. Despite what felt like shuffling along at the end of the race, I was able to beat my goal. I kept training, but as the weeks went on I was left feeling tired. My legs felt heavy and I wasn't running...

Ramblings by me...: February 2013
http://wa-katileigh.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 14, 2013. Hopping on the bandwagon! I might be crazy. I might be enlightened. but whatever the case may be, I think I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The organic, processed food, corn, soy, GMO's. And a billion other things to learn about my food bandwagon. I'm paying attention to what I'm eating and what might be in my food. This might not have been enough to convince me in the past. BUT! And with just over two weeks until the marathon. I'm going to take all of the help I can get! I'm get...

Ramblings by me...: January 2014
http://wa-katileigh.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Since I started eating vegan earlier this year, I've tried some interesting and experimental recipes. some of which have been pretty good. This was my first time being vegan for Thanksgiving. We decided to cook here for the holiday and Dustin was nice enough to let me do some more experimenting. I've always had some favorites from growing up and I decided to try and vegan-ize a few of them. After dinner we watched "Elf" to get into the holiday spirit! A few weeks later we went...

Monday, May 13, 2013. Lists, vegan food and fanny packs. So much has happened since I last posted that I had to make a list of things to cover. Since we all know how much I love lists, this wasn't terrible. :) Plus, it gave me something to do during a boring class one day. so here goes. We might even all run a 10k sometime soon. We saw Andrew McMahon at the Showbox. My vegan dinner :). Dustin's friend Asia came to visit. We had a great weekend going to the Tulip Festival and taking the ferry to Bainb...

Sunday, December 28, 2014. In early September, my work announced they were giving out several free entries to the NYC marathon which was in November. I decided to enter, not expecting to win. but I got lucky! I made it through the Vancouver half without too much pain and made sure to do everything right the week before the race. We flew into New Jersey on Friday (which happened to be Halloween and Dustin flew on the plane in his "Dude" costume). Complete with White Russians! They announced that wave two ...

Ramblings by me...: December 2012
http://wa-katileigh.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2012. I celebrated by heading to Astoria, Oregon. We left as soon as I was done with my final on Friday. They had just opened up a Hampton Inn there and it was right on the Columbia River. Saturday morning we got up and went for a run along the water and it was beautiful. We ventured out later for a bite to eat at the Wet Dog Brewery. We celebrated by having brunch at the Columbian Cafe - a place know for it's vegetarian, healthy and quite delicious dishes. Veggie crepe with pesto.
