Susan Eats: July 2008
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. I was a bit scared when they put this in actually cause it started spitting sparks a bit and I was scared Frankie's jumper was going to catch on fire or my hair would turn into a flame ball! Luckily none of this happened. We ordered a couple of entrees to share which included jap chae (my favourite) and this egg roll dish, which didn't quite look like the picture on the menu. We were handed a few of the traditional banchan. Jap Chae - $10. Egg Roll - $8. This just tasted like an om...

In Alfie's Room: Food Babies Love
http://inalfiesroom.blogspot.com/2012/07/food-babies-love.html
Jul 9, 2012. For the past week I have been putting to good use, and reviewing, a fabulous new baby cookbook by Melbourne mother of three, author Emily Dupuche. Called 'Food Babies Love'. I was heartened to discover that her recipes go far beyond the toddler years too, as my eight and ten year old happily ate what their baby brother was eating. The first thing that struck me about this cookbook. I really think 'Food Babies Love'. I love her genius addition of vegemite. It adds a fantastic depth of flavour.

Susan Eats: Veal with Soft Polenta
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2012/01/veal-with-soft-polenta.html
Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Veal with Soft Polenta. Another female cook who I love to make recipes from is Donna Hay. Most of her recipes are really simple and have such great flavour, which is how I like to cook. This recipe is from her book Fast, Fresh and Simple. I like it how most of her recipes are for 2 people as well, which works great for us. The polenta turned out well at the beginning, but then half way through the meal it went quite solid. Is this meant to happen? 4 x 90g Veal Steaks. Put a f...

Susan Eats: August 2008
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 11, 2008. We arrived a bit early, but that seemed to be ok. The place was pretty empty, but was full by the time that we left. The chairs in the place were so comfortable. Chairs are really important i think and places that have really comfortable chairs get two thumbs up from me! We knew exactly what we were going to get before we even arrived. The seafood platter for 2! We ordered a "few" drinks and waited for the platter to arrive. Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week.

Susan Eats: Spanish Chicken with Chorizo and Potatoes
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2012/01/spanish-chicken-with-chorizo-and.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Spanish Chicken with Chorizo and Potatoes. Following on from the Nigella Theme I made another one of her dishes the other night that we saw on her feasts show. Her original recipe was suited for about 6 people, so I halved the recipe for us 2, and then had leftovers the next day. You can find a link to the original recipe here. Otherwise this is my version below. Everything in the pan, ready to go in the oven. All done and looking good. Spanish Chicken with Chorizo and Potatoes.

Susan Eats: February 2009
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2009. Frankie and I were going out for dinner in Surry Hills one night. I think we had planned to go to a different restaurant but when we walked past this place we thought we would try it out instead! The place was empty except for us but the menu looked good and affordable and we hadn't had Malaysian for a while. Satay Skewers - $8. We decided to start off with satay! Beef Rendang - $13.90. As well as satay you always have to get rendang and this was delicious and so cheap! I would...

Susan Eats: May 2011
http://susaneats.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 28, 2011. We are heading off for a 2 week break to Byron via Port Stephens and then back through Smith's Lake. I don't think I will have internet connection at all, apart from my iphone, so I will not be updating the blog for this time. I am hoping to take lots of pictures of restaurants and food places we go to, so expect to see lots of seafood! See you in 2 weeks! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Subscribe to Susan Eats by Email.
