Keith and Dawn's Blogspot. Our online diary to keep friends, family and supporters up to speed on our wanderings. Snipe eBay. Sunday, March 18, 2007. Philippines to .Taiwan. Voyage from Batangas, Philippines to Kaohsiung, March 6th-9th. The voyage was reported to be the worst for over a year, with waves of 3-4 metres. The majority of the crew, including us, suffered from seasickness! Our cabin is very close to the front of the ship, and therefore moves considerably! Less English is spoken here in Taiwan ...

Keith and Dawn's Blogspot. Our online diary to keep friends, family and supporters up to speed on our wanderings. Snipe eBay. Wednesday, November 22, 2006. Well – another fascinating and challenging day in Hyderabad before hopping back to Blighty. I teamed up with a couple of lovely guys from the USA – Salt Lake City who had been sent out by their church to investigate how they could be involved in mission. 8211; funding each child needs to be funded for some £50 per year. What can I say - we have a home. This is the trailer that delivered our stuff. And what a lot of stuff - this underlines the need for a change in lifestyle. the mallons: Easy peasy now....

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/easy-peasy-now.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Monday, November 17, 2008. Well, today was a much quicker procedure. Instead of lying on a frame and holding on to a post, I was on a mattress with a pillow! True luxury compared to the last 5 weeks. And, although I still needed to be aligned properly, there was only one burst of radiation as opposed to three (so basically it takes a third of the time and is much more comfy). And I have already done one- so there are only 4 left. Woohoo! Posted by nigel and sue.

the mallons: June 2008

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Thursday, June 26, 2008. On Tuesday I had another very long wait for my consultation with the doctor- I was in the building for 4 hours and my appointment was about 10 minutes! However, I got chatting with quite a few other women and we had quite a raucous giggle- so much so that when I was eventually called through and complained about my wait time was told that I had been called a lot earlier (but obviously did not hear! Still, it was quite jolly! Tomorrow I go ba...

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, May 25, 2008. G-CSF - douze points! The G-CSF seem to be working, in that I am feeling good! Interestingly I have developed tonsillitis again- this is the third time! BUT- I do not have a temperature, or feel anywhere near as bad as last time, which is fantastic. When we got home we realised it was the first time I had been out in 9 weeks! Posted by nigel and sue. Thursday, May 22, 2008. Posted by nigel and sue. Tuesday, May 20, 2008. the mallons: Good News

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/good-news.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Monday, November 10, 2008. I am now into week five- only this week and next left. It has been a drag getting to hospital every day, but I am still not experiencing much more redness or pain than at the beginning. I saw the doctor today (every monday I have a review appointment) and they were delighted with my progress- apparently I could have been MUCH worse at this stage. Posted by nigel and sue. http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/10/hmmm.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Today I went down for number 2 out of 30, and my skin has already turned pink and is slightly warm. I look as if I have just been on a sunbed session! Posted by nigel and sue. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Order of Mission. http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Friday, July 25, 2008. I am just about coming out of the first awful phase of the cycle, and had my last injection tonight- Hoorah! No more naughty Nigel stabbing me in the stomach with a sharp stick! My tongue is absolutely revolting and furry and my taste buds are really playing up this time, but I have only 2 weeks to go until I start feeling muuuuuch better. We are off to New Wine tomorrow, to sit in a caravan for a week in Newark, so hopefully will be nice 'chi...

Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, April 27, 2008. 1 For fabulous friends and family who are supporting me with food, flowers, cards, prayers and phone calls- thanks guys. The food has been particularly appreciated- though Emily has been rolling her eyes at the amount of healthy cakes we have been given-sweet potato, carrot, and butternut squash so far! The world is upside down mummy-. Makes cakes out of. 6 For being able to wash my 'hair' in under 5 seconds! Having met many others down at We...

the mallons: One week left!

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/11/one-week-left.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Sunday, November 16, 2008. The skin reaction is now slightly worse, and I have some peeling and broken skin- but it is basically a bit like heat rash, quite prickly and itchy. I am controlling it well by slathering it in aqueous cream, and it is really not much of a problem compared to surgery and chemo! Only 5 sessions left- next week I am having 'booster' sessions. Not quite sure aboout the detail, except they will be much quicker and I even get a pillow!

the mallons: Advent

http://the-mallons.blogspot.com/2008/12/advent.html

Catch up with our news and adventures. Thursday, December 04, 2008. When there’s so much bad news in the world, it’s easy to become numb to it all. Somehow, my own suffering increases my sensitivity again to others’ pain. Suffering breaks through our defences and causes us to long for God’s intervention. My heart cries out to God. Our world still needs the healing that only God can give. Thus we have hope, ultimate hope, aching hope, confident hope in God. And this is the heart of Advent.

Missionary Mama Blog | Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…

Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Why we let the yellow bus go right on by. . . I get to choose. That’s my favourite part. Me, as the God-ordained mother of these precious little ones, gets to choose how our days will flow, where we will expend our energy, where we will invest our time, and how slow or how fast we will learn our lessons. Some, we learn quickly; some, we need to invest hours and days until we are completely satiated. The reasons are probably not what you think. Fear- I am not afraid of...

Playing choo-choo, kissing boo-boos and serving Jesus in Mexico. March 9, 2014. Tonight as I go about my business: putting the kids to bed, helping John pack for Korea, and of course drinking a hot cup of tea- my heart and mind is constantly thinking about Mariana. What a heart this nurse has! Manuel and Nara are on staff with us here and serve with Homes of Hope. They spent so much time helping this sweet family get their passports. January 14, 2014. By the time we got home from spending time in nor cal...

IGuitar player. Avid reader. Poetry writer. Runner. Hiker. Volleyball lover. Former Heretic. Missionary Youth Minister. Catholic. Colorado Native. Jesus lover. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Here's the thing - working as if you are the one saving souls is dangerous. It was that moment that I realized she thought it all depended on her and no one else. I asked her if she thought that, and she responded she did. It turns out she forgot that Jesus is doing the work, not her at all. It's not good for those yo...
