Elijah- God is Jehovah | Missionary Mama Blog
https://missionarymamablog.wordpress.com/2015/12/23/elijah-god-is-jehovah-3
Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Elijah- God is Jehovah. Every pregnancy is exciting; all new life is to be celebrated. But our Elijah James, well, I’m just so darn excited. He was born on Dec. 1, and I still catch my breath when I look in his eyes. He is my rainbow baby. He was born after the one we lost. After your baby dies, no matter how small, your happy cloud is popped. You know that life can change, life is fleeting, and that pain exists in this world. So what do we take from this? Brought....
Venturing Out With Children- A How-To Guide | Missionary Mama Blog
https://missionarymamablog.wordpress.com/2015/03/13/venturing-out-with-children-a-how-to-guide
Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Venturing Out With Children- A How-To Guide. The first time I left the home, alone, when our third child was born was terrific- because it was horridly awful, and set the bar low for what a good experience would be. Look at me go! Until one had to go to the bathroom. In all fairness, he was three and a half. For SURE he had to go the bathroom, his bladder was the size of a grape on the best of days. We stopped at a Tim Horton’s, and. My whole universe fell apart.
Life hurts. | Missionary Mama Blog

Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. It just does. As surely as there’s life, there’s death. They go hand in hand. I knew I was expecting three days before my period was even due. When you do natural family planning, you kinda know. It was so crazy: I ovulated twice in one month which completely came as a surprise. We were ready for the first, the second time (after Googling if it was even possible) we knew that God had a different plan for us. Making school fit around your family? I was sick, but not as...
Seeking Joy in a Sad, Dark Place | Missionary Mama Blog
https://missionarymamablog.wordpress.com/2015/01/16/seeking-joy-in-a-sad-dark-place
Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Seeking Joy in a Sad, Dark Place. Last year, I shared my “word” for the year, which was Presence. I really wanted to focus more on being in the Presence of my Savior, as well as being totally in the presence of my children and friends. I always have so much on the go, I felt very scattered. I learned a lot throughout 2014, and I know much more about my shortcomings, believe me. All of it is according to Plan. This year, I choose joy. We know who’s in control. 8220;Tho...
December | 2013 | Missionary Mama Blog
https://missionarymamablog.wordpress.com/2013/12
Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Archive for December, 2013. A Fresh, New Start. I’m not a big new year’s resolution girl. They are often big, enormous lifestyle changes that one tries to change in one day. Every year I do a little one, just for fun, though. Last year, I resolved to not go to WalMart. I did pretty well, up to December. I went three times from January until November, and then THREE TIMES in December alone. I must put my Daily Bread in the same category. I would love to hear about it!

Missionary Mama Blog | Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…
Needing Jesus, in front of my kids…. Why we let the yellow bus go right on by. . . I get to choose. That’s my favourite part. Me, as the God-ordained mother of these precious little ones, gets to choose how our days will flow, where we will expend our energy, where we will invest our time, and how slow or how fast we will learn our lessons. Some, we learn quickly; some, we need to invest hours and days until we are completely satiated. The reasons are probably not what you think. Fear- I am not afraid of...

Missionary Mama | Playing choo-choo, kissing boo-boos & serving Jesus in Mexico
Playing choo-choo, kissing boo-boos and serving Jesus in Mexico. March 9, 2014. Tonight as I go about my business: putting the kids to bed, helping John pack for Korea, and of course drinking a hot cup of tea- my heart and mind is constantly thinking about Mariana. What a heart this nurse has! Manuel and Nara are on staff with us here and serve with Homes of Hope. They spent so much time helping this sweet family get their passports. January 14, 2014. By the time we got home from spending time in nor cal...

IGuitar player. Avid reader. Poetry writer. Runner. Hiker. Volleyball lover. Former Heretic. Missionary Youth Minister. Catholic. Colorado Native. Jesus lover. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Here's the thing - working as if you are the one saving souls is dangerous. It was that moment that I realized she thought it all depended on her and no one else. I asked her if she thought that, and she responded she did. It turns out she forgot that Jesus is doing the work, not her at all. It's not good for those yo...
