TWD – Boca Negra. TWD – Boca Negra. February 19, 2013. This week’s recipe for our TWD baking group is Boca Negra. I’d never heard of Boca Negra before but any recipe with this much chocolate has to be good. The recipe is very simple and really didn’t take long to assemble. Bring some bourbon and sugar to a boil, remove from heat and then stir in lots of chopped chocolate. Next step is to stir in 2(! Maybe not the prettiest Boca Negra ever but it was absolutely delicious. For the recipe, please visit Cath...

A Notebook of Everyday Inspiration. Friday, May 25. Lyonnaise Garlic and Herb Cheese (aka Boursin's Mama). French Friday with Dorie. After last week's tart, it was nice to have a simple recipe to prepare, but even though it was. Simple to prepare I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. While I was catching up with some recent tapings of The Martha Show that I had on the DVR, I was inspired by an appearance by Beatrice Peltre from La Tartine Gourmande. French Fridays with Dorie. Sari Signorelli Goes to Market. Marketing is a lifestyle, not a job. Caramel-topped Semolina Cake: French Fridays with Dorie. November 26, 2010. French Fridays with Dorie. The Caramel-topped semolina was a hit, but I think I did not cook the sugar long enough because a darker amber would have made this cake look more enticing. But what it lacked in appearance, it more than made up for in flavor. And as you can see, it was dug into before I even got to take a photo. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window).
