Spitzers in Singapore: February 2009
http://spitzersinsingapore.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 6, 2009. On Wednesday, we were very excited to have our first visitor in Singapore! Old (or even the 10-15 years old) and building new government apartment buildings and shopping malls. After Dougal (and Darrell b/c he got up so early to pick him up at the airport! Either of these things before, we felt like tourists instead of residents. We all first met Dougal at a celebration for my grandmother Pearl's 99th birthday la. Just think - it is warm and tropical here! Posted by Jo Ann S.

http://darinamberlarson.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Darin Amber Kayla Aubree Lyndi Erin Davin. Wednesday, July 15, 2009. We had the best vacation! We saw some incredible stuff in the tide pools, lots of sea stars, even a sun star, which is pretty rare. (This is a sea star). We caught crabs off the dock, and ate them that afternoon. We had a bonfire, dutch oven dinner, s'mores, and fireworks on the beach. And that was just a few of the fun things we did! We hiked to Vikingsholm Castle and took a tour. We rented a paddle boat. Friday, February 19, 2010. Christmas in New Zealand - Queenstown (cont.). Unfortunately he was not much help. So instead we decided to go to the local museum to learn more about the history of the town and the gold rush. It was a really nice museum in the middle of town and Anna especially liked learning how to use an old telephone operator station. Anna working hard to try and find some gold. Darrell thinks he has found something, but it turns out to be a shiny rock. Posted by Jo Ann S. Quote of the day.

Spitzers in Singapore: July 2009

Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Here are a few highlights from our trip:. Two favorite pastimes at Grandma and Grandpa's house include feeding the ducks and geese and fishing in the pond behind their house. Anna was a very dedicated fisherperson, spending several hours fishing and she was rewarded for her patience by catching a bass as long as her forearm. A rare moment of cooperation as big sister Megan helps Anna with her collar before her class (and Anna actually lets Megan help her). Who are these stiff lo...

Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Christmas in New Zealand - Lake Tekapo. One of the benefits of living in Singapore is the opportunity to visit places that are extremely far away from the U.S. New Zealand definitely qualifies - as it was even a nine hour flight from Singapore! The view from the porch of our Chalet at Lake Tekapo. We ate breakfast each morning outside - what beautiful scenery to wake up to each morning. Jo Ann, Megan and Anna at the top of Mt. John.
