Thursday, June 25, 2009. My kids and I decided to come to Utah for 6 weeks this summer. We didn't want to put up with the 95 degree - 100% humidity in Bama this year! We traded it for rainy, cooler weather and have loved it! We have been having a blast so far with family and friends. Here are a few of the things we have been doing. Friday, January 9, 2009. The other week we went to the best zoo ever! It was more like a farm. Mike, the owner, has all of these animals on his property and has built cages for them that go on forever. Mike walks you around the zoo and gives you an up close tour of his zoo. I have never been so close to some of these animals before. It was amazing, as you will see. Here is Oakley making friends with a black bear! Mike had just built the coolest cage for this brown bear. Gage shaking hands with a bob cat.

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. In Memory of Jackson. When we were out in Utah for Jackson's funeral, his son, Jayden asked if we could all go to a Real soccer game. Ryan was put in charge of getting us all tickets and was able to get an awesome deal. We got 20 tickets and my ever so kind father got hit with the bill. He wouldn't have it any other way though! The Kahuna Klan Times. Monday, March 19, 2012. We can hardly believe that Adam turned 12 this year! He didn't have a friend party this year but chose to have the family go to Classic Skating, where we skated, bounced, laser tagged, and ate the night away. We had a great time! Adam used most of his birthday money to buy a new iPod, but he also got some clothes and a fun Angry Birds game. Instead of cake he wanted a coconut cream pie (that's my boy! They look so dashing in their new suits and white shirts!

The Kahuna Klan Times. Monday, March 5, 2012. For our Blue and Gold Banquet this year there was a cake competition. We were supposed to create a cake with a "game" theme. I think they meant board games but we decided to do a video game instead. So we made a Mario Kart track cake, with our favorite characters Mario, Luigi, Bowser and Yoshi. And don't forget crazy Spencer! We had a fun night eating dinner, playing games and eating our awesome cakes. Thanks you great cub scout leaders! Mitch and Lauri's Blog.

Sunday, November 9, 2008. Saturday morning Ryan did his morning routine and checked our armadillo trap. He was excited to find his armadillo trapped inside! I guess it is a common thing to eat where they are from. NASTY! They came and got the armadillo after work on Saturday. They were nervous to kill it in front of everyone (we were all watching to witness the killing) so they took it home in the trap and are going to bring the empty trap back on Monday! Thursday, July 9, 2009. Of July is my favorite holiday. It was fun being able to celebrate with family this year. We missed Ryan not being with us, but we knew he was happy on his solo Harley trip to the Smokey Mountains! We started the day with the Kaysville. Do you think their having fun yet? After the parade we went swimming up at Oakridge. It was really crowded, but fun. The kids got to dive for money at the bottom of the pool and scored big! Andrew, and Kobe jumped off the diving board the whole time.
