Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Today started out with a good healthy breakfast at Olympic Cafe. We both had a Kahlua pork and egg burrito. I think they only use extra large tortillas, because it was enough to choke a horse. We then rented a couple beach cruiser bikes and proceeded down the beaten path. It was amazing that we went all the way to the end of the path and back, the trip was 10 miles total. We actually did ride these bikes! Today we started ...

Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Friday, April 29, 2011. A Day of Relaxation and Adventure. Today we started the day at the Spa by the Sea. The treatments began with a Papaya Pineapple body scrub, followed by Volcanic clay mask, then you are wrapped in towels for the mask to dry. After showering the mask off you return to the treatment room for a 40 minute Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. So relaxing and refreshing. I cant decide what island activity I would rate #1? Monday On The Water.

Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Our First Day On The Island. Today was a great first day! Stopped and snorkeled at Anini Beach and just hung out for a few hours. Then drove north till the road ended. Done some shopping in Hanalei Bay, a really cute little shopping village. Got back to the resort and got our itinerary for the rest of the week:. Monday 7:15 am check in for boat tour. Thursday 9 am Massage at the Spa and dancing in the evening.

Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Today we spent alot of time in the car. We drove to the south west side of the island to Waimea Canyon. We packed our lunch and ate in a beautiful meadow before heading back down from the canyon. When we checked in for dinner I received a beautiful flower Lei and Mitch got a shell Lei. There were several vendors with Kauai made items for sale. Mitch bought me a awesome purse made from coconut shells. The Island Rain Forest.

Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Island Rain Forest. Today we visited the rain forest part of the island. Amazing that this small island has so many different types of climates. We were picked up at the resort at 8:30 in a 4X4 for a ride to the end of the drivable road. If you can really call if a drivable road? At the end of the hiking trail we rested and had a snack. VIEW FROM THE END OF THE TRAIL. AT THE END OF THE TRAIL. Had dinner at the Bull Shed.

Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Finally our angel is here! Mitch and I were up late hanging out in the nursery imagining how and when our little angel would come into our lives. I still had a week until my actual due date so we weren't planning on anything happening anytime soon. Wrapping up our late night around 2 am we were both excited and couldn't wait for what was to come. Dr Davis showed up and a few pushes later our angel Ella Audrie Buchanan came into our lives. Best day of our lives! We love you Ella!

Every year for the 4th, we go to the beach with Mitch's family. This year we stayed at a house in Fort Morgan. Row played hard and slept hard. He took at least a 3 hour nap everyday. He got really good at saying everyones name, especially Brax Brax, Toot toots, T, SuSu, and Poppy. We had a wonderful time! Row loved the sand and water. Reading to his GG.

I blame it on having two other kids to take care of. In reality, it's probably me just slacking. Last appointment was July 28. Makenzie and Alex came with me. They like to hear baby's heartbeat. And see Dr. Dyer. Baby checked out good. Weight gain thus far for me is 10.6 lbs. At 33 weeks (July 30) I headed to Kansas City with Mitch. So no worrying here.

Celebrating 30 years of marriage on the island of Kauai. Monday, May 2, 2011. One Week is just NOT enough. Well we have made it home and both agree next time we stay longer. Our final Island Sunrise. Saturday we have to check out of the resort at 10 am and flight doesn't leave till 8:30 pm. Cant go swimming because then there is no place to clean up and change before boarding the plane.
