I am not too fond of a tomato-based sauce with my pasta, and this is a great way to use over my leftover kurma from the previous day. Even though I had entertained the thought of marrying the Indian kurma/korma and the Italian pasta, my aunt's "Kurta" (Pasta Kurma, my cousins put that term together, so smart I think! Ricotta cheese - 1 cup.

In the sense that I did not use Mascarpone cheese at all. Omitted that all together and instead just used home whipped cream along with the egg custard to give it some volume and lightness. But if you do have some Mascarpone cheese to spare, then by all means add that instead of the whipped cream. It would result in a richer and creamier custard. Warm water - 1 cup.

Sunday, August 31, 2008. 1 Raw pea nuts 2 cups. 2 Finely chopped Onion 1. 3 Finely chopped Tomato 1. 4 Garlic 2 pearls. 5 Green chilly 1. 6 Cinnamon ¼ inch. 8 Garam masala 1 tsp. 9 Salt to taste. 10 Turmeric powder a pinch. 11 Aegina motto a pinch. 12 Sugar a little. 183; Soak pea nuts for 4 hrs and pressure cook it. 183; Grind ½ onion ½ tomato along with cinnamon, garlic, chilly and clove to paste. 183; In a pan splutter mustard, cumin and add the paste. If it is dry add little water to make it as gravy.

Wednesday, December 21, 2011. These are the most addictive cookies I have ever eaten.They are great with a cup of milk or a hot cup of ginger tea. I prefer crisp ginger biscuits to the soft chewy version. These cookies remind me of the cookies I used to eat in Bangalore. My cousin was a huge fan of ginger cookies and would munch them with her endless cups of tea. I have made a couple of batches of these cookies this season. In the first one I used vegeta. Preheat your oven at 375 F. 2 tsp baking soda.

Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Acorn Squash and Chickpea Soup. This soup was inspired by a recipe I saw for a butternut squash soup here. Apart from using Acorn squash I made a couple of minor changes to soup the most important of which was the addition of saffron. I was very pleased with the end result and it tasted much better the next day as the saffron spent more time in the soup. 1 can of chickpeas, drained and washed. 1 1/2 tbsp honey. 1 tsp Asian curry powder. 2- 3 cloves of garlic chopped fine.
