Vermont Printmaker: printing day...
http://vermontprintmaker.blogspot.com/2011/09/printing-day.html
Friday, September 2, 2011. I did tons of new work today. I am working on putting together a video of my printmaking process, so stayed tuned in the next few weeks. Looking forward to a long weekend. I am sure there are plenty of families in VT who are working hard to clean up their homes and businesses after the devastation of Irene. My heart goes out to you! Tus Love, Monotype, 8x10. Vermont Printmaker: forgive me for I am growing...
http://vermontprintmaker.blogspot.com/2011/08/forgive-me-for-i-am-growing.html
Friday, August 26, 2011. Forgive me for I am growing. Well, I am not totally sorry that I am growing. But I know that those I love most get the me who is working on all of this. Who is thinking and processing. I am going through a growth spurt. I am learning about myself and what I want. I am learning again what. I am capable of, what makes me laugh, what makes me inspired. As I continue to shed the layers of what others see of me, I am inspired to see what I. What were you born to do?

Vermont Printmaker: I'm Moving!
http://vermontprintmaker.blogspot.com/2011/09/im-moving.html
Tuesday, September 27, 2011. I have been working hard to develop the vision for my artistic life and future. After a great deal of soul searching and exploring, I have decided to skip, run, and jaunt in a new direction. Although in my heart I will always be a Vermont printmaker; I need to follow my heart and soul. So, I am moving my blog and website to a self hosted site. I have chosen the name Art and Soul Journey. I think it encompasses all of the goals I have for myself and my creative biz.

Vermont Printmaker: let me explain a little more.
http://vermontprintmaker.blogspot.com/2011/08/let-me-explain-little-more.html
Sunday, August 28, 2011. Let me explain a little more. So in re-reading my last post with some feedback, I realize that I have more to say on the subject. For many years, I denied who I was; an artist. I denied how important it was to express myself. I denied myself because of all the doubt and shame that kept me from standing up and shouting out my truth. It is totally worth it. How do you take care of yourself? Otherwise, how can we love the others in our lives fully? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Fabric and fiber, dyes and paints, philosophical musings and random goofiness. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. How ’bout we stop trying to legislate common sense…. December 10, 2008. And deal directly with the manufacturers and importers of toxic, crappy plastic and lead laden toys, and not push every small business owner who makes anything that will come even remotely close to a child out of business forever. How about we stop legislating nonsense? To look into how thi...

Shudder), there’s only one acceptable alternative. Baby wearing. Since the Best Parent wants to give the appearance that they are a better parent than you, they will explain that baby wearing is a good “bonding” experience. The Best Parent will also claim. And, as every Best Parent knows, overwhelming self-absorption is a potential conflict with c...

Door Ornament: The King of the Jungle - Olansa Cuttings - David Harrison / Printmaking / Archive
http://blog.olansa.co.uk/2008/02/25/door-ornament-the-king-of-the-jungle
David Harrison / Printmaking / Archive. On Monday, 25 February 2008 by David Harrison. Door Ornament: The King of the Jungle. Conventional wisdom says to burnish the transfer. But conventional wisdom doesn’t own a hydraulic press, so there! One minute and six tonnes later I had a perfect transfer. I’d already darkened the surface of the block with a mid-grey Copic Sketch Marker. The alcohol-based ink doesn’t fluff up the wood like water-based highlighters can, so it’s perfect for the job....The woodblock...
