Greece is the Word

Greece is the Word. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. A Weekend in Istanbul. Last Thursday I left for a weekend trip to Istanbul.or should I say Constantinople, since that is what the Greeks still call it: Poli ("City"), for short. Can you say bitter? Finally, we went home and woke up early the next morning to go to the Grand Bazaar, which was absolutely overwhelming. One man told us there were 4,500 shops in there! Tomorrow I leave for a trip to Olympia and Delphi, so I will be sure to update when I get back!

Greece is the Word. Saturday, March 7, 2009. My week in photos:. Since I have done so much over the past week and, not gonna lie, I'm pretty exhausted, I've decided to tell the story of my travels in pictures this time.they do speak a thousand words after all and I'm sure many of you have missed seeing my wonderful face ha ha. Enjoy-. Walking along the Thames. British Museum - officially one of my favorites ever. Portobello Market in Notting Hill. Such good vintage and antique shopping! I had to obviously.

Today was my first day doing anything re. So anyway, I bought a beautiful sal. My last class has about 1000 pages of reading, but that's okay b...

Greece is the Word: Closer to God

http://mollieingreece.blogspot.com/2009/02/closer-to-god.html

Greece is the Word. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. In my last post I had mentioned my upcoming trip to Meteora and at least one person was paying attention and eagerly awaiting a summary of my experience, (hey Danielle! After dinner, Jamie and I went back to the hotel and watched some Greek television (always amusing) before calling it a night. The first monastery we went to, Agia Triada, was a rather small. One, but it was seated highest in. Whatever, I understood something at least. After we finished with...

I am thrilled to hear that so many of you have decided to join BC ’13! Since you may not know about some of the things I reference in the list, feel free to ask questions in the comments or send me an email! Note: I have not done all 100. Bacchanal Concert Pictures | Barnard Blog 2009

https://barnardblog2009.wordpress.com/2009/04/24/bacchanal-concert-pictures

I just wanted to put up a few pictures of last weekend’s concert, which was part of the Bacchanal Spring Festival. Bacchanal is a weeklong celebration, complete with an awesome free concert, among lots of food, frivolity, and other festivities. I had a fabulous time on the steps watching Vampire Weekend and Talib Kweli get down. Beautiful weather, fun music, a street fair on Broadway, and good Barnard friends- I couldn’t ask for anything more! A peppy indie-ish band composed of Columbia alums! You are co...

Both of my internships were unpaid from the organization. The internship grant is a great way for me to be able to dedicate myself fully to my work at my organization, get great experience, and good references. And the organization liked me so much, they asked me to recruit other Barnard students for the organization too! The Little Things that Matter in Life | Barnard Blog 2009

https://barnardblog2009.wordpress.com/2009/04/23/the-little-things-that-matter-in-life

The Little Things that Matter in Life. When I was a little girl, one of my favorite things was to string together beads and make bracelets out of them. I put bracelets in quotes because they would tear as soon as someone tried to wear one of them. All the beads would then lie on the floor in disarray, waiting for me to string them again. I loved it! It never became boring or repetitive. Of all the childhood memories I have, this is one pretty close to my heart. Yes, I go to my. Welcome to Barnard College!

March | 2009 | Barnard Blog 2009

https://barnardblog2009.wordpress.com/2009/03

Hi from a Barnard runner! March 31, 2009. Without a doubt, the highlight of my junior year has been running the New York City Marathon with Columbia University Road Runners (CURR) this past November. I joined the club as a first-year, looking for a way to make friends on campus and to continue to run while in New York. It was great, because I had an automatic group of friends with a shared interest, and it was a way to meet students from Columbia College and SEAS as well. Posted by Kelly Ann Taddonio.

Everything Will Be Illuminated. Wednesday, August 01, 2007. This year has been at the same time the most amazing and difficult experience of my life. I feel blessed and honoured to have had this opportunity. The professional experience I gained was immense. No less, and be a part of an incredible international organization.
