Pensare: November 2006
http://doroteagucciardo.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody else has thought." Albert Szent-Gyorgyi. Sunday, November 12, 2006. As I'm writing this, Remembrance Day has passed. I spent the morning at the local cenotaph, and along with thousands of other Canadians, I adorned a poppy on my lapel, as a gesutre of recognition and respect for the sacrifices made by our fallen soldiers. That freedom was armed conflict - it is not glorified if you remember the sacrifces made by those players.
Lauren Burger: Wolfe, in all his glory
http://laurenburger.blogspot.com/2006/12/wolfe-in-all-his-glory.html
Reflections on Public History. Monday, December 18, 2006. Wolfe, in all his glory. Three good friends and I just got back from a 4-day road trip to Quebec City. Though we spent most of our time in Vieux Quebec. On Saturday we ventured as far as Battlefields National Park - better known as the Plains of Abraham. It was a damp, chilly afternoon, and we didn't linger very long on the windy Plains before going to get a big bowl of chocolat chaud. Second, I realized, the plaque tells its colourful story first.

The pastime of past time. Bryan andrachuk's public history blog. My Digital History Internship. As I noted in my last post. I am currently working with Bill Turkel. On a digital history internship. I'm using MIT's Exhibit software. To create a website that documents street name changes in London. The idea came out of a major paper I wrote last term on the same topic. The bylaw that changed the name, and, where possible, I may opt to include a little social history behind the name change. It's fine becaus...
