It's been almost 2 months since I updated and even then it wasn't a "real" update. But I'm feeling the typing urge yet again, so I'm working on some new posts that will hopefully be enjoyed by my legions of faithful followers (hey, a girl can dream, can't she? So as anyone who is or has been the parent of a toddler knows full well, life is never boring with the little ones around! And I swear they are comedic without even trying. I've had this bracelet for probably about 10 years now. Diary of a Feminist Homemaker. My life (and toddler) related ramblings. Friday, June 27, 2008. As a side note, I've had her potty chair in the bathroom for like 6 months now (at least) and she has known what it is and has even sat on it (clothed) for that whole time. She has now gone potty 28 times (according to her star chart)! So I ended that for awhile. We tried again yesterday and she did pee at first in the potty, but I'm just not confident enough to let her rum around in the nude yet!

New organizers in my Etsy shop! Has been a busy bee again! I just added two new organizers to my shop. First row is from the lovely Amy Butler "Belle" line of fabrics. This particular color selection is bold and vibrant and the colors contrast nicely. The second row is from Joel Dewberry's Aviary line. It's a lovely damask in the girliest of color combo's - pink and light green. Also, I just want to let you know that I am happy to do custom orders! Wow, these are sooo cool! 4/10/08, 10:36 AM.

This stuff they call "snow". So, I was recently in NY for a second to visit my friend Megan. Luckily, I came just in time to experience this stuff they call "snow.". Being from Austin, Texas we don't see snow often. I think we got a little. Bit about 4 years ago. I also heard we had some good snow back in '85, but I was too young to remember. I am slightly afraid of cold weather. I guess I am quite adapted to 100 degree temperatures because I complain that I'm cold when it's in the 60's! 2/26/08, 3:00 PM.

My opinion of Choke.and other movies I'm excited to see. I was not disapointed in the movie at all. It's off-beat, raunchy, twisted, dark and funny. You could use those same adjectives to describe a movie like Super Bad, but it's completely different because Choke feels more like "real life." If you are expecting anything like Fight Club you may be disappointed because Choke couldn't be more different. But why waste time comparing the two movies? Director, Larry Charles (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Borat).

Tuesday, August 9, 2011. I am beyond saddened by the recent news of 2 age-group triathletes (which means. non-professional) dying during the Nautica NYC tri this past Sunday. This news has really hit me hard. To think that these unfortunate athletes pushed themselves past their limit unknowingly. is very scary. Athletes have a tendency to get wacky. We get very focused.
