Not My Own: May 2015
http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 18, 2015. I cried a lot today. over a crashed hard drive. My back up system apparently didn't work and it seems that 10 years of photos and documents are gone, just like that. As I got in the car to take my crashed hard drive back to the computer technicians, I cried, just like I had through pieces of the morning. Do you see a lot of people cry? I asked the tech. Yea, about one a day," he said. Well, I cried in the car, so I won't make your quota today! I joked with some hope of truth. The ro...

Not My Own: Proverbs 31 - How Do You Measure Up?
http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2015/04/proverbs-31-how-do-you-measure-up.html
Wednesday, April 22, 2015. Proverbs 31 - How Do You Measure Up? My husband just left for work. It's still dark out. I kissed him goodbye and returned to my bed to read alone before the children wake up. My reading took me to Proverbs 31. As I read this famous and familiar passage, I tried to insert myself and see if I "measure up.". It is hard to find a good wife, because she is worth more than rubies.". My birthstone is a ruby! He does trust me, but not so sure he has all he needs. Now this is just gett...

Not My Own: Fairy Garden Party
http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2011/05/fairy-garden-party.html
Monday, May 9, 2011. My little ladies turned 5 in April and we had a magical day celebrating! Warning - there are TONS of photos to follow! The Fairy Garden Party. Tissue Poms were everywhere! My mother hand painted tiny fairies for all the children! These ruffles might be my new favorite thing! When the children arrived, they selected their wings and the girls received either a pink or orange flower for their hair. Then they headed outside to have their faces painted,. All the sandwiches were fairy size).

http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Appendectomy, Road Trip and LEGOLAND. There's been a lot going on around here! My husband was in the hospital again to have his appendix removed! He was just recovering from knee surgery and I guess he needed a little more attention! We wrapped up our homeschool year - praise the LORD! We headed up north to visit with Grandparents for a week and came home for a ballet recital, only to hit the road again and visit LEGOLAND for a few days! Whew, we're wiped out and need a vacation.

Not My Own: Grateful Not Guilty
http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2015/04/grateful-not-guilty.html
Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Grammie, do I add water to this? S hould I put in more pepper? No, everyone can do their own.". Grammie, do I do the next potato? Yes, do them all.". Who's being so kind and nice over there? Is that little Georgia? I'm so impressed by you.". Here they learn, they are encouraged and they are praised. There are those who can give my children what I can't and I will continue to surround myself with those other villagers and allow them to teach and refine my children, guilt free!

Not My Own: March 2015
http://notmyownlife.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Or White and Gold? Do you ever feel like it just can't get any worse? My husband has been awaiting knee surgery for a long, pain filled, sleepless month. That means I've been waiting too, caring for the pain (his pain, not him! And not sleeping for a month. The night before the surgery was the worst. When he wasn't looking, I secretly went in the bathroom and cried. I couldn't stand to see him in severe pain anymore. I have to take care of Daddy. You're fine."). Um, have what?

How serious do we take this precious role of Mother? Are we with forming, guiding and creating our family? We should approach family with the same intention, vision and drive that a CEO approaches a business venture. We only get one shot at this. We only have our children for 18 quick years (well, usually! It’s worth our time and effort to be intentional. With our families – to have a vision, goals, and a plan. To intentionally. Love our spouse. To intentionally. Series will be interrupted by. My life be...
