I have lived in suburbia for almost all of my life and now I am leaving the burbs, moving 2000 miles away to live on the Navajo reservation in Arizona, an hour and a half from what I previously considered civilization (translation: the nearest Starbucks). It was a little late, since Monday was a Mud Day! We've counted each day, all the way up to 100 days of school, and we celebrated by doing lots of 100 activities. We had a "one hundred" snack (ten pieces each of ten different small snacks like goldfish), 100 puzzles, made a collage with one hundred (and more!

Thursday, October 14, 2010. Christmas Knitting. I love giving knitted gifts, but I don't like the stress of figuring out what to make everyone. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. This was Michael's Christmas or Birthday gift when he was 12. I don't remember which. It no longer fits him. How sad. It fits me and its nice wool. Hmmm. Links to this post. Knitters are notorious for disliking purl. I wonder why that is. This little hat is mostly purl with four stockinette cables. I.
