O unworn world enrapture me, encapture me in a web: My Love Has Only Grown
http://unwornworld.blogspot.com/2013/07/my-love-has-only-grown.html
Monday, July 1, 2013. My Love Has Only Grown. You see, my main planning time was spent sleeping-great planning skills right there! I made this as a last-minute one year anniversary. Present. Last minute? Ermyes. Well, we'd said that due to our budgets, there'd be no presents but at the last minute I decided, for chrissakes I can afford a large piece of watercolor paper! My time is my own and the 80p watercolor paper wasn't going to break the bank! So the main techniques. I'd say it should take at least a...

Like I'm Feasting: White Tiger on Snow Mountain-David Gordon
http://likeiamfeasting.blogspot.com/2015/06/white-tiger-on-snow-mountain-david.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. White Tiger on Snow Mountain-David Gordon. White Tiger on Snow Mountain-David Gordon. How do you do a synopsis of a short story collection? Gordon's stories are primarily a mix of awkward, wit, and cleverness. Also, lots of eroticism so if you're the sort who blushes.probably best not to read them in public. There's something for all sorts of readers in here to be honest-the hyperrealists, the drug-addled, the. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Powered By Blogger Widgets.

Cooking Without Measure: July 2014
http://cookingwithoutmeasure.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 4, 2014. I honestly read this recipe and immediately knew I'd be making it. Soon. And eating the 'left overs' for breakfast. And so I did. There's little more American than this I think-over the top rich cheese sauce poured over potatoes. How can it go wrong? You need: potatoes, onion, garlic, butter, flour, broth, milk, sour cream, cheese. Boil your potatoes, cubed. Saute the onion and garlic in butter until softened. Add in the flour. Add broth and milk and cook over low heat.

So an airborne disease has hit the world and a group of travelers become stranded at an airport in Canada. The world comes to an end but they are still alive, making a new world order for themselves without forgetting the old. To the hype machine and read it anyway because this is a lovely book. Cooking Without Measure: March 2015
http://cookingwithoutmeasure.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 13, 2015. I had a coworker once mention that she was fascinated by my lunches. I looked down at my lentajes con arroz and just didn't understand. You have so many different ways to cook lentils! She enthused. Not just φακή! You can actually eat lentils every lunch for a month and not get bored by them! Maybe Let's not test that one out okay? White rice (I usually throw in wild rice too-texture nutrition). Lentils (I use brown since they take the same amount of time to cook as the rice).

Cooking Without Measure: Delight Rocky Road
http://cookingwithoutmeasure.blogspot.com/2014/11/delight-rocky-road.html
Friday, November 21, 2014. Turkish) Delight Rocky Road. I am an expatriate. I have been for many years. So many years that I am no longer sure of where I am an expatriate from. If your upbringing is food then mine is the Caribbean fare my mother served day after day (I was a picky eater, it was the same 5 dishes every day). Or it was the fresh, tinned, or flash frozen seafood that had. So I live in Greece where marshmallows are not really a thing that is common in supermarkets and a serious craving for R...

Cooking Without Measure: Scalloped Sweet Potatoes
http://cookingwithoutmeasure.blogspot.com/2014/09/scalloped-sweet-potatoes.html
Friday, September 26, 2014. I think I could live on just sweet potatoes for the rest of my life. I mean that very seriously. Between the purple veined, white fleshed boniato I ate as a child, the unveined white sweet potato I ate in the UK, and the most common orange fleshed kind I've eaten pretty much everywhere I've lived, there's such variety in the sweet potato itself. And when you roast it and smother it with cheese.well. I fail to see how anyone could resist its siren call. I Make Things (and books).

Like I'm Feasting: The Warden-Anthony Trollope
http://likeiamfeasting.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-warden-anthony-trollope.html
Tuesday, April 28, 2015. A novel of manners in which a warden gets pushed from his post by slanderous anti-clerical actions and no one ends up all that happy. This was definitely a I'm-too-stubborn-to-stop-reading novel. Trollope is a classic author, amongst the favorites of many of my favorite British writers but good lord, why on earth was I reading this? I despise novels of manners and I am not a fan of clerical intrigues. My favorite stories involving priests are usually supernatural (exorcism? Onlin...

Like I'm Feasting: June 2015
http://likeiamfeasting.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2015. An unusual take on the coming-of-age novel featuring feral children and an underground music scene. Let me start by just noting that I had no real idea what I was reading sometimes. How did I get here? It's a hard read to. But I do anyway? Thursday, June 18, 2015. Suffer the Children-Craig DiLouie. Suffer the Children-Craig DiLouie. A sudden disease (Herod's Syndrome) strikes down all the children. When they return to life, they demand blood. Especially when I spent much of the fi...
