This is the official blog of Rev. Clayton A. Peak & Rev. Rebecca Ann Dunger Peak. Monday, August 28, 2006. It was one year ago today, August 28, 2005, that Rebecca gave to me "Ol' Smokey". Ol' Smokey is a 5-string open back banjo made by Morgan Monroe. I had been wanting a banjo for some time (actually off-and-on since childhood). My interest in the banjo peaked again last year as I became acquainted with Chris Foss who with his wife Melanie owns and operates The Jam Factory. With the Black Hairy Possum.
