Restraint, not starvation. Jan• 29•14. We recently received a comment asking about regaining weight after a period of fasting. I absolutely believe that fasting is not the way to lasting and healthful weight loss. In my experience, fasting quickly moves you into a cycle of yo-yo dieting. Once you begin that cycle, you can never reach your goal. The key, in my mind, is restraint, not starvation. What you can control is how you eat and what you eat. Jan• 21•14.
