the JanЄric blog: January 2008
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 31, 2008. Today was the last day of early voting for the presidential primaries so after work we went out and voted. The line was short and we were in and out within about 10 minutes. Woohooo! If you haven't voted already, be sure and do so on February 5. Make your vote count. After voting we paid way. Too much for tofu curry on rice at a Vietnamese restaurant that will not be getting our endorsement. Thursday, January 31, 2008. Links to this post. Sunday, January 27, 2008. Is a groundb...
the JanЄric blog: August 2009
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 30, 2009. I'm sure some of you have been wondering where we've been and why the last post is now nearly a year old already! Firstly let me just say that the main reason for this blog originally was to keep our friends and family up-to-date with what we were doing. So why did we quit? Much of this had to do with Facebook. So we joined Facebook and are now able to post our own individual photos, say what we want to say individually, and can monitor who gets to see this information!

the JanЄric blog: Fall Colors on the River
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2008/11/fall-colors-on-river.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Fall Colors on the River. This Sabbath our friend David George called and asked if we wanted to join him out on his boat and take a trip down-river to look at the pretty fall colors. We of course said "yes". :). It was a tad bit chilly at top speed, but the sky was clear and the sun warm, which also made for LOTS of good picture opportunities. C's sister and family which was a fun surprise! We were very hungry at this point and so decided to try out the new Red Robin.
the JanЄric blog: Sunday Project -- New Flowerbed
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2008/11/sunday-project-new-flowerbed.html
Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Sunday Project - New Flowerbed. On Sunday we decided to finally start working on our latest home-improvement project - a new flowerbed in the front yard. This has been on our list. For quite some time now and now that the weather is starting to get cooler we decided that there was no better time than the present. Just a week ago we managed to get our old hand-me-down roto-tiller running for the first time. To test it out, Er! But our front yard is starting to look MUCH nicer!
the JanЄric blog: June 2008
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 16, 2008. After what seemed like forever, we finally harvested our home grown peaches this weekend! Sabbath afternoon after a yummy lunch of Chinese food with Todd, we each enjoyed a bowl of fresh sliced peaches fresh off the tree. Later that afternoon we joined our friends Jen and Gil for a nice afternoon walk by the river followed by supper at The Mudpie Cafe. We then walked out onto the Market St. Bridge overlooking the Riverbend Music Festival where we listened to. Monday, June 16, 2008.

Monday, March 24, 2008. This morning we were hit by a surprise snow shower that covered our porch with a thin layer of white magic dust! Or at least that's what the cats thought. Tofu and Arthur were absolutely enthralled by the strange falling flakes and slippery surface and did NOT want to go back indoors again! Monday, March 24, 2008. Links to this post. Sunday afternoon we went over to one of our friends' house for the good old fashioned pagan tradition. Monday, March 24, 2008. Links to this post.
the JanЄric blog: Family Extravaganza!
http://hullquist.blogspot.com/2008/10/family-extravaganza.html
Friday, October 31, 2008. Several weeks ago we experienced somewhat of a family extravaganza when Mark and Kristin came up from Florida along with Kristin's parents who were visiting from Berlin. Uncle Dan also was in town that weekend, so throw in the rest of us who actually live here in town and you've got yourself a family reunion! On Sabbath we all went for a walk along the Chattanooga Riverwalk, and walked several miles to the Art District and back. Here are some photos from the weekend.

More Than Kittiwakes | Birding NZ26
Expect the Unexpected III. August 15, 2015. After the rain the predictable, though exciting prospect of migrants will get people checking the tide times for Holy Island and generally moving to the coast. Greenish warblers are exciting birds to find, but they are unlikely to appear in NZ26. It’s not a particularly efficient way of looking for the second Marsh Harrier in as many weeks to go through the 10km square but something may turn up. What else goes through NZ26 unobserved? Musings about my life, my kids, homeschooling et al. Monday, February 26, 2018. I’m sure many of you have seen the cutesy cloth “paper” towels with the snap-together sheets and, while I am not in any way knocking them- they are super cute- I am just way too. Practical to take the time to snap the sheets together each time. Just what I was looking for and didn’t know it. I quickly was able to fill our rag basket with unpaper towels and I love my new rags!
