Bringing Healthy and Sustainable Food Together. An earthy fig, chicken and mushroom salad. August 18, 2007. Middot; 3 comments. But you could just treat this recipe as a basic formula. How does skinless duck breast, asparagus and cherries, or turkey, red onion and apricot sound? I was talking about the other day but you could use finely chopped fresh mint if you have it. You will have effortlessly eaten two of your five-a-day. Heart of the Matter. Collection of heart healthy grill recipes! 2 skinless chi...

Bringing Healthy and Sustainable Food Together. White beans with figs, leek and rosemary. March 26, 2010. Middot; 13 comments. In the snowy weeks at the start of the year there were a couple of days when I couldn’t get to work and I had the opportunity to really immerse myself in some reading. Springing off from Elaine’s excellent collection of links on How to build and maintain healthy bones on a plant-based diet. All seem to have about the same overall risk of having a fractured bone. Tomatoes for Breakfast: December 2009

http://tomatoesforbreakfast.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

There are no breakfast tomato recipes here. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. This was something we had often as children, to use up the leftover corned (or other) beef. It's sweet and salty comfort food. The approximate recipe is something like this :. 2 double handfuls of cubed cooked corned beef. About 1 tablespoon Keens dry curry powder. 1 onion, diced. 1 carrot, sliced in rounds. 1 stick celery, sliced. Leftover veges, eg capsicum. Hot water to cover. 1 dessert spoon brown sugar. 1 large handful sultanas.

It seems like getting more fibre and whole grains in your diet is all the rage at the moment, so much so, that in the October edition of Cooking Light they had a whole section on recipes that would give you a fibre boost. I was actually very happy about this because I have recently discovered the joys of eating more interesting grains such as barley, quinoa. Anyway, I was surprised to find this recipe in the Autumn/Fall edition. But it turned out ok.

There are no breakfast tomato recipes here. Thursday, October 1, 2009. This is only a mild heat, so add more chilli if you wish. I like it with avacado on thick toast, or with cheese. It would make a good glaze on roast meat or veg too. 2 cups lemon juice, plus pips. Lemon rind in strips. About 2.8 kg sugar. 5 teaspoons chilli flakes. Remove the pan from the heat and leave to settle for a few minutes. Bottle hot in sterilised jars and store in the dark. Refrigerate after opening. Links to this post.

Previous post: bourbon peach hand pies. Next post: the duds of summer. September 2, 2008. August 21, 2016. Jump to recipe,. We had a decadent weekend in the North Carolina mountains, and I never wanted to come home. The air up there is so delicious and clean, I never realized how cautiously I inhale in New York City, not that you can blame me if you’ve ever gotten a curbside whiff on a humid summer day after a long holiday weekend with no trash pickup. It has some bacon in it, but that could easily be removed if you wanted a completely vegetarian version. I decided to use honey smoked ham slices instead of bacon, as I find the bacon in the States too fatty, but feel free to use whatever you like. You could even do prosciutto.
